Breathing exercises by A. N. Strelnikova

For children preschool age

Reflecting on the nature of health, the ancient Greek physician and naturalist Hippocrates wrote in The Book of the Winds: “Diseases can hardly come from any other source than air, when it enters the body in more or less quantity, or more condensed, or saturated with disease-causing miasms. ... "However, assumptions about the relationship between breathing and health were put forward long before the appearance of the works of the Greek sage. And here it is impossible not to mention the pioneer of breathing exercises Hermes Trismegistus. The system of physiologically substantiated and highly effective breathing exercises of Hermes Trismegistus is more than two millennia old!

We say “the morning breathes coolness”, “the earth sighed”, “the divine breath of the breeze”, - our entire planet breathes and develops like a living organism.

Breathing is the basis of all living things. It is well known that the biological need for respiration is the basic vital need of a living organism.

Respiration is a complex biological process of consuming oxygen from the environment and releasing carbon dioxide.

From a medical point of view, this aspect of normal human life has been developed quite well, the philosophical and psychological components are at the stage of further development. However, the pedagogical component of the study of speech breathing has not been sufficiently studied.

The most important conditions for correct speech are a smooth long exhalation, a clear and relaxed articulation.

Speech breathing is different from ordinary life breathing. Speech breathing is a controlled process. The amount of exhaled air and the force of exhalation depends on the purpose and conditions of communication.

Now more and more often they turn to breathing exercises for help in order to cure various ailments.

A. N. Strelnikova argued: “People breathe badly, they talk, shout and sing because they are sick, and they get sick because they do not know how to breathe properly. Teach them this - and the disease will recede.

Gymnastics A. N. Strelnikova normalizes excitement, pressure and temperature, helps in the treatment of hypertension, getting rid of stoop, eliminates bedwetting; used in the treatment of stuttering.

Stuttering occupies a very special place among speech disorders, and Strelnikova's gymnastics is strongly associated with it, or rather, with an unprecedentedly large percentage of cures for this disease.

Strelnikova's gymnastics is often called paradoxical. Alexandra Nikolaevna herself repeatedly repeated: “Yes, our gymnastics is paradoxical, because we breathe in at the moment of movements that compress the chest! »

Inhalation is life, inhalation is the most important element of Strelnikova's paradoxical breathing exercises, a kind of cornerstone on which the whole set of exercises stands.

Other non-traditional methods of treatment are also found in the literature: yoga gymnastics, Buteyko breathing, Qigong gymnastics, the Su-Jok method, and the Taoist respiratory system. Each of them has its own rational link. But they all require maximum energy costs from a person, and some even restructure the entire lifestyle and are designed for years of hard training.

So, breathing exercises by A. N. Strelnikova do not require large rooms and energy forces from a person, are easy to learn and are used in the treatment of stuttering. Therefore, the problem of adapting this respiratory gymnastics for preschool children is becoming relevant in modern reality.

That is why I decided to use the method of breathing exercises by A. N. Strelnikova in the system of rehabilitation of stuttering in. The exercises proposed by A. N. Strelnikova are difficult to use with preschool children. So I decided to adapt these exercises using rhythmic speech. This form of speech is accessible, understandable to preschool children, and, most importantly, is one of the methods for correcting stuttering.

I started using breathing exercises by A. N. Strelnikova with the children of the preparatory group. The result of this was:

*increased motivation to work;

* the level of general morbidity decreased;

*Increased productivity in stuttering correction.

Therefore, I began to include exercises on the technique of active inspiration in classes with children of older preschool age.

preschool children.

Rule One

Try to put as much emotion into the breath as possible. Strive for it to be natural: as active as possible, short as a prick, furious, and sharp to the point of rudeness. To understand how to combine all these requirements in a routine respiratory movement, we will use the advice of Alexandra Nikolaevna. She believed that supporters of a volumetric, prolonged breath are in the greatest delusion about its harmlessness to health. Remember, Alexandra Nikolaevna said, how we all sniff when there is a smell of burning in the air. What is our response to danger? Remembered! Our ancestors used the sense of smell to protect themselves from enemies, and modern man uses the ability to perceive and distinguish smells inherited from his ancestors to protect his own health. While exercising, think only of the inhalation and never be embarrassed by the noisy sounds that are made with this kind of vigorous breathing.

Your breath should be short and interested! At the same time, you need to imagine that not only your life, but also the life of those whom you have tamed and are obliged to protect, depends on the intensity and quality of the breath. Agree, there is nothing difficult in such a model of inspiration. It just takes time to realize all the recommendations of A. N. Strelnikova, and start breathing correctly.

"It smells like fire! Anxiety! And sharply, noisily, throughout the apartment, sniff the air like a dog's footprint. The more natural the better.

The biggest mistake is to pull the breath to take in more air. The breath is short, like an injection, active and the more natural, the better. Think only about the breath. The feeling of anxiety organizes an active breath better than reasoning about it. Therefore, do not be shy, furiously, to the point of rudeness, sniff the air.

Rule Two

Movement, movement and again - movement! When performing the exercises, observe the simultaneity of inhalations and movements and in no case control the exhalation - let it be arbitrary, but it is best to exhale through the mouth.

Pay special attention to the fact that inhalation should be taken either at the moment of performing the movement, or at the moment of maximum compression of the chest.

Exhalation is the result of inhalation.

Do not prevent the exhalation from leaving after each breath as you like, as much as you like - but better with your mouth than with your nose. Don't help him. Think only: “It smells of burning! Anxiety! » And make sure that the breath goes simultaneously with the movement. Exhalation will go away spontaneously. During gymnastics, the mouth should be slightly open. Get carried away with inhalation and movement, do not be boring and indifferent. Play savage like children play and you'll be fine. Movements create sufficient volume and depth for a short breath without much effort.

Rule Three

I think that each of us, if he has not pumped up a car chamber, then perfectly imagines how the process takes place. The third feature and the third rule of Strelnikova's breathing exercises is that breaths must be repeated as if you were inflating a chamber or inflating a balloon. It is easy to see that, acting on the principle of "passive inhalation - active exhalation", you will never be able to inflate the balloon, or rather, fill the airways of the lungs with air.

We take breaths at the expense of "2", "4", "8", "16", "32", that is, we inhale in series: two, four, eight, etc. times in a row (it is important to observe the following pace breathing: 60-72 breaths / min.). The pause between series of breaths is 2-3 seconds. The duration of the intervals between exhalations should be somewhat longer, since we did not “help” the exhalations, and the air left voluntarily.

Make sure that the inhalation is slightly louder than the exhalation. Naturally, 8-16 episodes are enough for children.

Rule Four

A. N. Strelnikova emphasized the importance of observing this rule for everyone who decided to engage in recovery according to her methodology.

It is good if during each exercise you do 2 “sets” of 96 breaths. In normal health, it is recommended to breathe in series of eight, sixteen and thirty-two breaths from the initial standing position. In case of unsatisfactory health and (or) illness, it is recommended to breathe in series of two, four and eight breaths from the initial sitting or lying position.

A. N. Strelnikova emphasized that breathing exercises is a struggle for a strong and healthy sleep, and ideally the lungs should be inflated an hour before bedtime.

Rule Five

If you decide to do breathing exercises Strelnikova seriously and for a long time, never do the exercises in passing. Tune in to classes, get rid of the problems that interfere with classes, concentrate and listen to yourself. And then you will hear your own breathing and immediately understand what you are doing right and what is wrong.

A. N. Strelnikova believed that gymnastics should be practiced regardless of how you feel, moreover, the worse it is, the more often you should perform breathing exercises, however, you should rest more often.

1. Warm up

Remember to inhale! Smell the air!

Learning in the game! Imagine that you stopped for the night in a dense forest, and suddenly a burning smell came from somewhere, and you furiously sniff the air to determine from which side danger lies in wait for you. No exercises will return to your nostrils the natural mobility characteristic of a primitive hunter and lost by an urban man as unnecessary, but you need to strive for this.

Preschool children perform a warm-up by listening to a poem:

This is how we play today

We start sniffing the air.

What does it smell like? Don't understand -

You need to inhale through your nose.

Breathe in, breathe in, breathe in.

It smells of burning - oh-oh!

2. "Steps"

Accept initial position: feet shoulder-width apart, arms at the seams, shoulders straight, back muscles relaxed. Start breathing - excitedly, interestedly, actively! Noisy breaths - such that the whole house could be heard! - short, like a lightning-fast prick of a rapier. Do nose retractors respiratory movements. Feel free to sniff! The wings of the nose do not expand, but rather narrow. Make sure that the nostrils are not motionless, but gradually begin to "obey" you.

Once you have mastered this way of breathing – perhaps unfamiliar to the vast majority – move on to breathing in motion. Let's start walking! To "feel" Strelnikova's breathing exercises, take a breath with each step. Left step - inhale. Right step - inhale. Left, right... inhale, inhale. “When do you breathe out? " - you ask. “The exhaust air will come out by itself - without your participation. Don't think about exhaling!

Such breathing in motion is another distinguishing feature of Alexandra Nikolaevna’s gymnastics (remember: in any other gymnastic complex exercises are performed at the expense of "one-two", read, "inhale-exhale").

Breathing steps along Strelnikova can be done on the spot, when walking around the room, if the footage allows, or even stepping from the left foot to the right - back and forth, back and forth. The main thing is that your movements are rhythmic and frequent.

To teach preschool children to perform this exercise, you can use the following poem:

Aty-baty, aty-baty.

Today we are soldiers.

We walk left and right.

We breathe in air quickly.

3. "Palms"

Starting position: stand up straight, show your palms to the “spectator”, while lowering your elbows, do not take your hands far from the body - the psychic pose.

Take a short, noisy, active breath through your nose and at the same time clench your palms into fists (grasping movement). Hands are motionless, only palms are compressed.

Immediately after an active inhalation, the exhalation leaves freely and easily through the nose or through the mouth. At this time, we unclench our fists.

Again they “sniffed” with their noses (soundingly, all over the room) and at the same time clenched their palms into fists. And again, after a noisy inhalation and clenching the palms into fists, the exhalation leaves freely, we unclench our fingers, relax our hands for a moment.

Do not spread your fingers while exhaling. They relax just as freely after contraction, as the exhalation leaves absolutely freely after each breath.

In our breathing exercises, it is very important to learn not to think about exhalation! Only inhalation is active, exhalation is passive. Do not hold air in your chest and do not push it out. Do not interfere with the body to release "exhaust" air.

After taking 4 short noisy breaths with your nose (and, accordingly, 4 passive exhalations, pause - rest for 3-5 seconds. In total, you need to perform 24 times 4 short noisy breaths.

Children can play the game "The cat catches the mouse."

We will imitate the cat

We clench our palms into fists.

We recognize the smell of a mouse -

Let's not forget to take a breath.

We release claws -

We'll catch the mouse soon!

Turns and tilts of the head

4. "Turns"

Take the starting position: legs slightly narrower than shoulder width, back straight, chin slightly raised, arms lowered. On the right, it pulled a fumes! Turn your head to the right and take a short noisy breath through your nose. Left pulled burning! Turn your head to the left and also take a short and noisy breath.

Attention! Inhalation and turn are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

The muscles of the neck are relaxed, only the head turns to the left and right, but not the shoulders. Do not break the integrity of the exercise: observe the simultaneity of inhalations and head turns to the right and left, do not stop the head in the middle of the movement, do not delay the inhalation, do not think about exhaling - the lungs will “unload” on their own, while it is best to exhale through the mouth.

You can teach children this exercise by playing Curious Barbara.

Curious Barabara

Looking left, looking right.

What smells - do not understand

Need to inhale through the nose

5. "Ears"

Take the starting position: legs slightly narrower than shoulder width, back straight, arms down, eyes looking forward. Alternately tilt first to the left, then to the right shoulders, as if you wanted to say reproachfully to someone: “Ai-ai-ai! What a shame! ".

Inhalation and tilt are performed in a marching rhythm (go in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

A short and noisy breath through the nose is made simultaneously with each shake of the head. When performing the exercise, make sure that the shoulders remain motionless. Do not break the integrity of the exercise: observe the simultaneity of breaths and tilts to the left and right, do not stop your head in the middle of the movement, do not delay the breath, do not think about exhaling - the lungs will “unload” on their own, while it is best to exhale through the mouth.

For preschool children, the development of this exercise is offered in the form of a game of "Big Brother".

Let's shake our heads -

Tilt left and right.

As if we are talking to a brother -

"Ah, ah, ah, how embarrassing!

Why did you tear up all the books? »

We do not raise our shoulders -

We breathe air through the nose.

6. "Small pendulum"

Take the starting position: legs slightly narrower than shoulder width, back straight, chin slightly raised, arms lowered. From the bottom pulled burning! Tilt your head down and take a short noisy breath through your nose. Burnt up from above! Raise your head up and also take a short and noisy breath.

Inhalation and tilt (lifting the head up) are performed in a marching rhythm or in a measured rhythm of walking in place.

The muscles of the neck are relaxed, only the head rises and falls up and down, but not the shoulders. Do not break the integrity of the exercise: observe the simultaneity of inhalations and tilts-lifts of the head up and down, do not stop the head in the middle of the movement, do not delay the breath, do not think about exhaling - the lungs will “unload” on their own, while it is best to exhale through the mouth.

You must do at least 96 breath movements in one lesson. Start with four breaths in a row, gradually increasing the rate to eight, sixteen, thirty-two, doing, respectively, 24 sets of 4 breaths, 12 to 8, then 6 to 16 and 3 to 32.

For preschool children, this exercise is offered in the form of a garden-garden game.

Gather people,

Let's play Garden!

We raise our heads up

We will see ripe fruits.

It smells like pear very tasty.

And cabbage grows below.

Orange on a branch close -

And below is a radish.

African fruit - banana

Blue vegetable - eggplant,

From lemon - aroma,

Not everyone is happy to sniff onions.

Major movements

7. "Cat"

Take the starting position: feet shoulder-width apart (or slightly narrower than shoulder-width apart, back straight, arms lowered. Everyone is familiar with the aimed, cautious, sneaking movements of a cat hunting a sparrow. You have to do something similar! Prey on the right! Squat slightly, bend your arms at the elbows, lightly touching the body with them, relax the hands and turn to the right, transferring the weight of the body to the right leg and making grasping movements with both hands at waist level. in the elbows, lightly touching the body with them, we relax the hands and turn to the left, transferring the weight of the body to left leg and making grasping movements with both hands at the level of the belt. Let's catch another sparrow! Simultaneously with the movement, we inhale briefly and noisily through the nose. Don't think about exhaling! It happens involuntarily between breaths - without your "participation"! Keep the squat light, springy and shallow. The back is absolutely straight, turns are performed only at the waist.

Inhalation and turn are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

You must do at least 96 breath movements in one lesson. Start with four breath movements in a row, gradually increasing the rate to eight, sixteen, thirty-two, making, respectively, 24 sets of 4 breaths, 12 to 8, then 6 to 16 and 3 to 32. A. N. Strelnikova recommended performing two "hundreds" of movements (or more).

It is strongly not recommended to do vigorous turns and squats in case of injuries. lower extremities, with arterial, intracranial and intraocular pressure, as well as with osteochondrosis cervicothoracic spine. Attention! For any spinal injury, be sure to consult a surgeon!

If you feel unwell, the “Cat” exercise is recommended to be performed while sitting. The rate of movement-breaths: 24 approaches - 4 breaths.

Children perform the exercise by playing "cat and sparrow".

The cat went hunting

Sparrows catch hunting.

The nose smells the smell of game -

Looks to the right - no prey,

Looks to the left - sees them

And it's enough at the same time.

Imitating this cat -

Let's clench our hands into fists,

Squat left and right -

We inhale the smell of "sparrow".

8. "Shoulders"

Starting position: stand up straight, press the hands clenched into fists to the belt. At the moment of a short noisy breath with your nose, forcefully push your fists to the floor, like pushing up from it or dropping something from your hands. At the same time, during the push, the fists are unclenched.

At the moment of inhalation, the shoulders tense up, the arms stretch into a string (stretch to the floor, the fingers spread wide.

As you exhale, return to the starting position: the hands are again on the belt, the fingers are clenched into fists - the exhalation is gone.

Taking the next noisy short breath, again sharply push your fists to the floor with force, and then return to the starting position - the exhalation leaves on its own through the nose or through the mouth.

If, when exhaling, you release (exactly release, not push out) air through your mouth, then do not open your mouth wide. When exhaling, the lips are slightly unclenched (at the moment of inhalation they are slightly compressed) - the air leaves absolutely passively.

For children, the exercise is accompanied by a verse:

We clench our hands into fists -

Now we push our hands down -

We unclench our fists here -

We breathe air through the nose.

9. "Pump"

Take the starting position: the legs are slightly narrower than the width of the shoulders, the arms are lowered, but not at the seams, but slightly in front of you. You have an accident - a flat tire! You need to pick up the “pump handle” - it can be a newspaper rolled up into a tube or a stick - inflate the tire as quickly as possible and drive on. Start frequent and rhythmic torso forward. The piston of your pump is well lubricated - hands freely and easily fall to the floor, but do not touch it. Don't hold your breath! Inhale through the nose in the final phase of the tilt: the tilt of the body is over - the breath is over! Inhale - as noisy as possible and short, like a prick of a rapier. Observe the simultaneity of bending and inhaling and do not think about exhaling. Exhale passively through the mouth. Having straightened up, do not raise your head up: fix with your eyes an imaginary flat tire lying on the floor!

Inhalation and tilt are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

You must do at least 96 breath movements in one lesson. Start with four breath movements in a row, gradually increasing the rate to eight, sixteen, thirty-two, doing, respectively, 24 sets of 4 breaths, 12 to 8, then 6 to 16 and 3 to 32. Alexandra Nikolaevna emphasized this exercise and recommended do not limit yourself to “hundreds” of movements, but do 3, 4 and even 5 sets of 96 breaths-tilts in one lesson.

Attention! For any spinal injury, be sure to consult a surgeon!

If you feel unwell, the “Pump” exercise can be performed while sitting - without tilting, but only with the indication of movement, but with a short and noisy breath. The rate of breath movements is 24 sets of 4 breaths.

Children are invited to pick up a pencil, like a pump handle, and inflate a car tire.

We're going, we're going home.

By passenger car.

We drove up the hill - stop!

Flat tire - bang!

We get the pump from the trunk -

Let's pump up the tire quickly!

The air we breathe below

We don't raise our heads!

10. "Hug your shoulders"

Take the starting position: feet shoulder-width apart, arms bent at the elbows and raised to shoulder level. Expand the hands of both hands with the palms facing you and fix them in front of the chest, slightly below the neck. Start the movement by throwing your hands towards each other, while left hand"Hugs" the right shoulder, and the right - the left armpit.

Make sure your arms are parallel to each other. Inhale through the nose at the moment when the hands converge most closely: the “hug” is over - the inhale is over. Inhale - as noisy as possible and short, like a prick of a rapier. Do not take your hands far from the body and in no case unbend your elbows. Observe the simultaneity of bending and "embracing" and do not think about exhaling. Exhale passively through the mouth. A. N. Strelnikova recommended accompanying the movement with a mental attitude: “I press where the disease has expanded! ".

Inhalation and hand movement are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

You must do at least 96 breath movements in one lesson.

For children - accompanied by a poem:

Oh guys, we're freezing -

Let's hug our shoulders!

We welcome winter with joy -

We breathe fresh air.

11. "Big pendulum"

Take the starting position: legs slightly narrower than shoulder width, arms lowered, back straight. Proceed to tilt the torso forward. Hands reach for the floor, but do not touch it. Don't hold your breath! Inhale through the nose in the final phase of the tilt: the tilt of the body has ended - the breath has ended. Inhale - as noisy as possible and short, like a prick of a rapier. Observe the simultaneity of bending and inhaling and do not think about exhaling. Exhale passively through the mouth. Without stopping the movement, bend at the waist, leaning back slightly and hugging your shoulders with both hands. Inhale through the nose at the very moment when the hands converge most closely. Exhalation is passive.

It is easy to see that this complex movement breaks down into two exercises you have already mastered (“Pump” and “Hug your shoulders”) and really resembles a pendulum: back and forth, “Pump” - “Hug your shoulders”.

Inhalation and movements are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

You must do at least 96 breath movements in one lesson.

Due to the fact that in this exercise there is a connection of two exercises, then the poetic texts are also connected - the children inflate the tire, and unbending - hugging their shoulders - show how they are frozen.

We began to pump the tire.

Hands began to freeze.

Once - download,

Two - we hug our shoulders.

Here are a few basic exercises that I use in my work. I think you'll need it.

A. N. Strelnikova emphasized that breathing exercises are a struggle for a sound and healthy sleep, and ideally, the lungs should be pumped up an hour before bedtime.

2. "Steps"

Take the starting position: feet shoulder-width apart, arms at the seams, shoulders straight, back muscles relaxed. Start breathing - excitedly, interestedly, actively! Noisy breaths - such that the whole house could be heard! - short, like a lightning-fast prick of a rapier. Make breathing movements with your nose.

"And when to exhale?" - you ask. “The exhaust air will come out by itself - without your participation. Don't think about exhaling!

Such breathing in motion is another distinguishing feature of Alexandra Nikolaevna’s gymnastics (remember: in any other gymnastic complex, exercises are performed on the basis of “one-two”, read, “inhale-exhale”).

Attention! Inhalation and rotation are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

Start with four breaths in a row, gradually increasing the rate to eight, sixteen, thirty-two, doing, respectively, 24 sets of 4 breaths, 12 to 8, then 6 to 16 and 3 to 32.

You can teach children this exercise by playing Curious Barbara.

Curious Barabara

Looking left, looking right.

What smells - do not understand

You need to inhale through your nose.

5. "Ears"

Take the starting position: legs slightly narrower than shoulder width, back straight, arms down, eyes looking forward. Alternately tilt first to the left, then to the right shoulders, as if you wanted to say reproachfully to someone: “Ai-ai-ai! How embarrassing!"

Inhale and tilt are performed in a marching rhythm (go in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

You must do at least 96 breath movements in one lesson.

For preschool children, the development of this exercise is offered in the form of a game of "Big Brother".

Let's shake our heads -

Tilt left and right.

As if we are talking to a brother -

"Ah, ah, ah, how embarrassing!

Why did you tear up all the books?

Squat slightly, bend your arms at the elbows, lightly touching the body with them, relax the hands and turn to the right, transferring the weight of the body to the right leg and making grasping movements with both hands at waist level. at the elbows, lightly touching the torso with them, we relax the hands and turn to the left, transferring the weight of the body to the left leg and making grasping movements with both hands at waist level. We catch another sparrow! Simultaneously with the movement, inhale briefly and noisily through the nose. Do not think about exhaling! He occurs involuntarily between breaths - without your "participation"!Make sure that the squat is light, springy and shallow. absolutely straight, turns are performed only at the waist.

Inhalation and rotation are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking in place).

It is strongly not recommended to do vigorous turns and squats in case of injuries of the lower extremities, with arterial, intracranial and intraocular pressure, as well as with osteochondrosis of the cervicothoracic spine.

Start the movement by throwing your hands towards each other, while the left hand "hugging" the right shoulder, and the right - the left armpit.

A. N. Strelnikova recommended accompanying the movement with a mental attitude: “I press where the disease has expanded!”.

Inhalation and movements are performed in a marching rhythm (or in a measured rhythm of walking on the spot).

Teaching your child to breathe properly is very important. Respiratory gymnastics for preschool children is the prevention of colds, a way to do without drugs for the treatment of coughs, asthmatic bronchitis.

With the help of a system of exercises, you can train the organs of speech, improve blood circulation and coordination of movements, and harden the nervous system. For training the respiratory organs, the speech apparatus, the prevention of superficial inhalation and exhalation, highly effective methods are used that have been tested in kindergartens and schools. One of the favorites of teachers and parents was breathing exercises for children according to the method of A. N. Strelnikova.

Let's see why breathing exercises are needed, for what diseases it is effective, how to use it, why it is so popular.

Breathing exercises Strelnikova

The simulator is based on an unconventional approach to breathing. Simple but very effective exercises earned the respect of their parents. The benefits of breathing exercises have been proven in practice.

Anna Nikolaevna focuses on inhalation. It must be done with the nose, sharply and briefly. At the same time, try to compress the chest with the help of bending, turning, as if to interfere with inhalation. The body reacts instantly. Cells quickly absorb the received oxygen. The receptors of the nose are irritated, activate the work of the organs.

The Strelnikova complex improves the condition of the body, tones up, helps to recover from stress, operations, heart diseases, lose excess weight, solve problems with speech.

Breathing exercises for children are performed according to the following rules:

  1. Concentrate on the breath - this is the most important thing. Inhale through your nose noisily, shortly. Don't take in too much air.
  2. Contract your diaphragm as you inhale. Resist the passage of air.
  3. Exhale briefly through your mouth without muscle tension.
  4. Do your workout as you wish. Find the most convenient and comfortable moment for them. You shouldn't hurry.
  5. Maintain a marching rhythm of breathing.
  6. Stop classes if you see that the baby has turned pale or blushed.
  7. Invest in training as much emotion as possible. Especially while inhaling.
  8. Conduct activities with kindergarteners in a playful way.

Preschoolers studying according to the Strelnikova system have improved posture, accelerated physical development, correction of speech defects (). If a child pays attention to exercises for several months, then his immunity is strengthened, the number of acute respiratory infections and asthma attacks is reduced.

Teaching breathing exercises is the task of a speech therapist. Parents can take advantage of video lessons, teacher's advice and additionally study with a preschooler at home.

Exercises

Strelnikova's simulator provides a set of exercises for kindergarteners. There are 14 in total, but you need to start with the first three (basic):

  1. palms
  2. Drover
  3. Pump

You can master the additional complex closer to 6 years.

palms

Purpose: strengthening the respiratory system, warm-up.

Technique:

  • Take a standing position, keep your arms in a bent position, palms turned up.
  • When inhaling, the palms are compressed.
  • It is necessary to take 4 breaths through the nose, exhalation is made freely, naturally.
  • After four breaths, a 5-second break is taken, then a series of hand contractions, inhalations and exhalations is repeated.

Perform the exercise 96 times.

Drover

Purpose: warm-up, strengthening the organs of speech, respiration.

Technique:

  • The child stands, holds his fists clenched, arms along the body in a free position.
  • With a sharp breath, the fists are unclenched, as if repelling something.

After 8 noisy breaths, a break of 5 seconds follows.

Repeat cycle 12 times.

Pump

Purpose: prevention of asthma attacks, treatment of bronchitis, acute respiratory infections.

Technique:

  • The child stands straight, arms extended along the body. The legs are not widely spaced.
  • Leaning forward, arching back like a cat. While tilting the body, a short breath is taken through the nose. Slowly straighten up and exhale. After 8 tilts, a pause is 5 seconds.

Repeat the cycle 12 times.

Cat

Purpose: training of a sharp and short nasal inhalation during movement.

Technique:

  • The preschooler stands on the floor with his legs slightly apart. Performs squats. In this case, the heels are pressed to the floor.
  • At the same time, he sharply turns his body to the side and inhales noisily through his nose. Exhalation is arbitrary.
  • The back must be kept straight. squats do shallow, springy. Bend the arms at the elbows.

Number of repetitions: 12 times 8 breaths in one direction and the other.

Steps

Purpose: normalization of the rhythm of breathing during movement, restoration of muscle tone of the speech and respiratory apparatus.

Technique:

The cycle of tasks is represented by two types of exercises “Forward”, “Back step”.

Start with learning front step techniques:

  • Starting position (IP): the child is standing on the floor, the back is straight, the arms are extended at the seams.
  • The preschooler raises one leg, bends it at the knee, slowly pulls it to the stomach. On the other leg, a light squat is simultaneously performed. At the moment of movement of the body, a short breath is taken through the nose. The body remains straight, does not bend forward or backward.
  • On exhalation, the child takes the PI.
  • Then he repeats the exercise, squatting on the other leg.

Number of repetitions: 8 sets.

Back step technique:

  • IP: standing, back straight, bring one leg back, bend at the knee (not completely).
  • Performing squats on a straight leg, the child inhales noisily through the nose. Returning to the IP, exhales through the mouth. Then he switches legs. During squats, you can raise your hands no higher than the waist.

Replays: 4 on each leg. As a result, it turns out 8 cycles of inhalation-exhalation.

Embrace your shoulders

Purpose: restoration of the rhythm of breathing, teaching children how to relieve an asthma attack, training the vocal cords.

Technique:

  • Sitting or standing, raise your arms to your shoulders. Grasp your shoulders as deeply as possible, inhale noisily.
  • Release your shoulders and exhale.
  • Change upper hand and repeat hugs.

Number of repetitions: 1 2 approaches, each 8 inhalations and exhalations.

head turns

Goal: training the muscles of the larynx.

Technique:

  • The child stands straight, legs wide apart, hands on the belt.
  • He turns his head sharply to the sides, takes a noisy short breath.
  • Quickly turns it to the other side and exhales voluntarily.
  • It is not necessary to take the starting position. The back is always kept straight. Repeats turns at least 4 times. Then he rests.

Keep an eye on the condition of the child, he may feel dizzy during classes. Let rest for at least 10 seconds after 3-4 sets.

Complex with adenoids

In the presence of a 3rd degree of development of the disease, surgical intervention is required, and breathing exercises for children according to Strelnikova are used as rehabilitation methods to restore muscle mobility and tissue repair.

According to specialists (therapists, otolaryngologists), the adenoids simply dissolve due to the restoration of nasal breathing.

For treatment and rehabilitation, use the following exercises:

  • palms
  • Drover
  • Pump
  • Cat

Complex for stuttering

Logoneuroses, according to Alexandra Nikolaevna, arise on the basis of a violation of the coordination of movements of the muscle group of the speech apparatus. A set of her exercises helps the child cope with nervousness, relax the muscles of the larynx, lips, tongue.

Teach your child to do the following:

  • palms
  • Shoulder straps
  • Pump
  • Cat
  • Embrace your shoulders
  • sound exercises

Breathing exercises for the development of speech will be effective only if performed regularly. Changes in general condition parents will be able to notice the baby and the improvement in the rate of speech 1-2 months after the start of classes.

With logoneurosis, it is important to change the child's attitude to breathing and speech. Teach your preschooler how to control the diaphragm. It must participate in sound formation, be active and mobile. During training, watch the tension of the muscles of the vocal apparatus. Prepare them for work, make them hardy and strong, make the child clearly close the ligaments during phonation.

*increased motivation to work;

* the level of general morbidity decreased;

A. N. Strelnikova emphasized that breathing exercises are a struggle for a sound and healthy sleep, and ideally, the lungs should be pumped up an hour before bedtime.

Such breathing in motion is another distinctive feature of Alexandra Nikolaevna’s gymnastics (remember: in any other gymnastic complex, exercises are performed on the basis of “one-two”, read, “inhale-exhale”).

Squat slightly, bend your arms at the elbows, lightly touching the body with them, relax the hands and turn to the right, transferring the weight of the body to the right leg and making grasping movements with both hands at waist level. at the elbows, lightly touching the torso with them, we relax the hands and turn to the left, transferring the weight of the body to the left leg and making grasping movements with both hands at waist level.

It is strongly not recommended to do vigorous turns and squats in case of injuries of the lower extremities, with arterial, intracranial and intraocular pressure, as well as with osteochondrosis of the cervicothoracic spine.

Start the movement by throwing your hands towards each other, while the left hand "hugging" the right shoulder, and the right - the left armpit.

Consultation for teachers of the preschool educational institution "Types of breathing exercises for preschoolers"

Consultation for educators "Types of breathing exercises for preschoolers"

Breathing exercises by A. N. Strelnikova

It was designed to restore and expand the vocal range of professional singers. Along with improving the sound of the voice, breathing exercises by Strelnikova relieve fatigue, increase vitality, improve mood and reduce temperature. This gymnastics does not require large premises, easy to implement. Therefore, the problem of adapting this respiratory gymnastics for preschool children is becoming relevant in modern reality. This technique gained wide popularity thanks to the efforts of a student and follower of Strelnikov's breathing exercises, Shchetinin Mikhail Nikolaevich. This unique method natural healing of the whole organism.

Execution rules:

1 Try to put as many emotions as possible into the breath. The breath is as active as possible, short, like an injection, short and interested. Sniff the air like a dog's footprint.

2 When performing exercises, observe the simultaneity of breaths and movements, do not control exhalation - let it be arbitrary. The breath goes along with the movement. Movements create sufficient volume and depth for a short breath without much effort.

3 We take breaths at the expense of "2", "4", "8", i.e. we inhale in series. Make sure that the inhalation is slightly louder than the exhalation. For children, 8-16 episodes are enough.

4 Do not exercise in passing.

Respiratory relaxation according to the method of M. L Lazarev:

The program "Hello" by M. L. Lazarev was developed on the basis of modern scientific approaches to the upbringing and education of preschool children within the existing framework of educational standards. An important role in the program is played by music, which for the first time in the pedagogical literature on the formation of health is not additional material but the integral basis of the entire course.

Respiratory relaxation technique: quiet calm music sounds (musical supplement on SD No. 1)

“Let’s lie down on our back… Let’s close our eyes… Let’s imagine that you breathe in the fragrance of a flower… Try to inhale it not only with your nose, but with your whole body… with your skin… Inhale, exhale… You had a great rest… Your body is energized… I count up to 5… On the count of 5 open your eyes. Eyes open. Freshness in the body… Cheerfulness… Good mood… ».

Full breath.

Full breathing - yoga breathing - the most rational way of breathing, this is the basis correct breathing. Full breathing contributes to the best ventilation of the lungs, the movement of energy and oxygen metabolism in the body. This breathing gives a wonderful effect, healing the lungs and the whole body as a whole.

A set of exercises:

1. "Wind"

I. p .: lying, sitting, standing. The trunk is relaxed. Make a full exhalation through the nose, drawing in the stomach, chest. Take a full breath, sticking out the stomach and ribs of the chest. Hold your breath for 3-4 seconds. Through compressed lips with force to let out air with several jerky exhalations. Repeat 3-4 times.

2. "Rainbow"

I.P.: standing or moving. Take a full breath through the nose with the spread of the arms to the sides. Hold your breath for 3-4 seconds. Stretching your lips in a smile, pronounce the sound “c”, exhaling air and drawing in your stomach and chest. Hands first point forward, then cross in front of the chest, as if hugging the shoulders: one hand goes under the arm, the other on the shoulder.

3. "Breathe quietly, calmly and smoothly"

I.P. sitting, standing, the body is straightened, but not tense.

Close the right nostril with the index finger right hand, the left nostril to take a quiet long breath (successively lower, middle, upper breathing).

As soon as the inhalation is over, open the right nostril, and close the left nostril with the index finger of the left hand - through the right nostril, make a quiet long exhalation with the maximum emptying of the lungs and pulling the diaphragm up as much as possible so that a “fossa” forms in the stomach.

The same is vice versa.

4. "Balloon" (belly breathe, lower breathing)

I.P.: lying on your back, legs freely extended, torso relaxed, eyes closed. Attention is focused on the movement of the navel: both palms rest on it. Further this exercise can be done while standing.

Slow smooth breath, without any effort - the stomach slowly rises up and swells like a round ball. Slow, smooth exhalation - the stomach is slowly drawn in towards the back.

Inability to make an imperceptible intake of air;

Wrong posture.

In preschool educational institutions, musical and physical education classes on the recommendation of a pediatrician, they may include the following breathing exercises according to B. Tolkachev and A. Strelnikova:

Development of diaphragmatic-abdominal breathing;

Correct alternation of inhalation and exhalation;

Training of the coordinated work of the respiratory, vocal and articulatory systems.

As a result of the respiratory gymnastics at each lesson, the indicators of the respiratory system diagnostics and the development of the singing abilities of children increase.

Respiratory gymnastics for children has a complex therapeutic effect on the child's body:

Has a positive effect on metabolic processes that play important role in the blood supply, including lung tissue;

Promotes the restoration of nervous regulation disturbed during the course of the disease from the side of the central nervous system;

Improves the drainage function of the lungs;

Restores broken nasal breathing;

Corrects various deformities of the chest and spine that have developed in the course of diseases.

Breathing exercises for children can be done both individually and with the whole group, at any time of the day (excluding 20 minutes before meals and 1 hour after meals). The study room should be well ventilated, but it is better to do gymnastics on fresh air at temperatures above 10-12 degrees Celsius without sudden gusts of wind.

As a result of breathing exercises with children, the indicators of the respiratory system increase, and the singing abilities of children develop.

A set of preventive exercises for the upper respiratory tract: "Morning walk":

Geese. Walk slowly, inhale raise your arms to the sides, exhale - lower down with a long pronunciation of the sound GA-GA (1 min)

MYOGYMNASTICS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN

These exercises stimulate the development of the muscles that lift the tongue, contribute to the development of the skill of correct swallowing, strengthen circular muscle mouth, preventing disturbances in the development of the sound side of speech, preventing dentoalveolar deformation.

Horses. Clicking tongue (30 sec) in a position convenient for the child (sitting, standing)

We start the car. Prolonged pronunciation of the sound D-D-D (up to 30 seconds)

Let's brush our teeth. Use the tip of the tongue to drive (“clean”, “stroke”) along the upper and lower teeth to the right and left (4-5 times)

Kiss. Pull lips forward and smack (4-5 times)

Smile. Stretch the lips as wide as possible, return to the original position of the lips (4-5 times)

Let's inflate the ball. Inflate your cheeks and slowly squeeze out air through pursed lips with fists (4-5 times)

HARDENING NOSE BREATH

These exercises improve blood circulation in the upper respiratory tract, increase the body's resistance to cold, infections, lack of oxygen. All exercises are repeated 4-5 times.

Make 10 breaths and exhalations through the right and left nostrils, in turn closing them with the thumb and forefinger of the right hand.

Open your mouth and press the tip of your tongue against the palate, turning off mouth breathing.

Take a calm breath through the nose, while exhaling while tapping the wings of the nose with your fingers, pronounce the syllables BA-BO-BU.

Clench your fingers into fists, while inhaling through your nose, open your mouth wide and stick out your tongue, reaching it to your chin. Unclench your fists, exhale through your nose.

Breathing exercises for preschool children

What is breathing exercises and is it possible to use it in children's practice?

Breathing exercises are component physiotherapy exercises, the purpose of which is to train the respiratory apparatus and increase the efficiency of breathing. Why is breathing exercises for children necessary?

The respiratory system of a child is quite complex and wise. The main task of parents and teachers is to keep her healthy.

Breathing exercises help to saturate the body with oxygen. The ability to control breathing contributes to the ability to control oneself.

In addition, proper breathing stimulates the work of the heart, brain and nervous system, improves digestion (because before food is digested, it must absorb oxygen from the blood in order to be oxidized) Slow exhalation helps to relax, calm down, cope with excitement and irritability. Breathing exercises are simply necessary for children who often suffer from colds, bronchitis, as well as those recovering from various respiratory diseases.

Respiratory gymnastics has a powerful general and local effect on the body. The restorative effect of proper and full breathing: metabolic processes in the body are more dynamic, the child grows and develops better, gets sick less.

In preschool institutions, breathing exercises are simply necessary. It can be carried out during morning exercises, in classes conducted by speech therapists and educators for setting breathing, during invigorating gymnastics after sleep, on a walk. Separate complexes of respiratory gymnastics should be carried out twice a week.

There is a technique for performing breathing exercises that must be strictly followed:

Take in air through the nose

Exhalation should be long and smooth

Care must be taken not to puff out the cheeks.

When doing breathing exercises with children, you need to make sure that they do not have symptoms of hyperventilation of the lungs (rapid breathing, a sharp change in complexion, trembling of the hands, tingling in the arms and legs)

If your head starts to spin, put your palms together, bring them close to your face and breathe deeply into them 2-3 times.

Respiratory gymnastics complex

1. I.p. (starting position): standing, legs together, arms along the body.

Walking in place at a different pace for 1-2 minutes, breathing is arbitrary.

2. I.p.: standing, legs together, arms along the body.

Take the leg back, arms up - inhale, return to the starting position - exhale.

3. I.p.: standing, feet shoulder-width apart, hands to shoulders.

Rotation of bent arms in one direction and the other. The pace is average, breathing is arbitrary.

4. I.p.: standing, feet shoulder-width apart, hands on the belt.

Hands up - inhale,

Straighten up without lowering your arms - inhale.

Lean to the other side - exhale.

The program of additional education for preschool children "Respiratory gymnastics according to Strelnikova A. N. "Healthy"

Explanatory note:

Relevance: Reflecting on the nature of health, the ancient Greek physician and naturalist Hippocrates wrote in The Book of the Winds: “Diseases can hardly come from any other source than air, when it enters the body in more or less quantity, or more condensed, or saturated with disease-causing miasms.

Respiration is a complex biological process of taking in oxygen from the environment and releasing carbon dioxide..

Gymnastics Alexandra Nikolaevna Strelnikova is now very popular. Thousands of people got rid of serious illnesses with this unique gymnastics, patented as a method of treatment and entered in the State Register Russian Federation under No. 2214812.

This gymnastics is universal. It can be curative and preventive, health-improving and developing, restoring strength and improving mood. It can be done at home and on the street, standing, sitting and lying down, all at once or in parts.

It has no contraindications and is very effective.

Pedagogical expediency: The introduction of health-saving technologies into the activities of preschool educational institutions requires new non-standard approaches to the improvement of children, since the old forms and methods cannot adequately withstand the deterioration of the health of the younger generation .

Many modern methods of reducing the incidence of children give good results, but require material costs, sometimes significant, both for the purchase of equipment and for the introduction of new specialists in the staffing table. For some methods, a separate room and additional time are required.

Both of these are not always possible. According to these and other parameters, the respiratory gymnastics of Alexandra Nikolaevna Strelnikova is unrivaled.

Advantages this method: According to many experts, Strelnikova's breathing exercises are good because:

  • combined with all cyclic exercises: walking, running, swimming;
  • restores the functions of organs destroyed by the disease;
  • is an excellent disease prevention, available to all people;
  • Gymnastics does not require special conditions - special clothing (sports suit, sneakers, etc.), rooms, etc.;
  • after the first classes, the volume of the lungs increases significantly;
  • oxygen saturation and activation of general metabolic processes are provided

at the cellular level;

chest;

organism. The internal muscles of the respiratory organs, hidden from our eyes, are trained;

  • the vital capacity of the lungs after the first treatment session increases by 20-

oxygen and strengthen the walls of blood vessels from the inside;

  • gymnastics is shown to both adults and children.

One of the best Moscow specialists in the rehabilitation of patients, a doctor of the highest category, Zinaida Petrovna Melikhova, says: “For Strelnikovskaya gymnastics, you need one square meter of a room and an open window. 10 minutes after the start of classes, a completely different state of health appears: cheerfulness, lightness in the whole body, good mood.

That is, in the shortest possible time - the maximum result. And this is exactly what modern man needs in our way of life.

Performing breathing exercises has 2 main fundamental goals: have a directed effect on the respiratory apparatus, increase its functional reserves; cause changes in various organs and functional systems.

The benefits of breathing exercises Strelnikova for children The results of Strelnikova's breathing exercises are really impressive. It effectively helps in the treatment of a whole range of ailments, while enhancing the effectiveness of various methods of treatment, including medical and alternative ones. Among them:

Chronic diseases of the sinuses, bronchi and lungs, including pneumonia and asthma;

Diabetes;

Peptic ulcer (in remission);

Diseases of a neurological nature.

When performing exercises, the immune forces of the body are activated. Gymnastics allows you to develop flexibility, plasticity, and also helps to correct postural disorders in children and adolescents due to the activity in the process of performing exercises of almost all muscle groups.

The child's body begins to develop at an optimal pace. Oxygen metabolism is activated in all tissues of the body, which contributes to the normalization and optimization of its work as a whole.

Repeat the exercise "Pump" from complex No. 1.

Planet "Sat-Nam" - respond! (yogic breathing)

Target. To teach children to strengthen the muscle tone of the entire body and the entire respiratory muscles.

Starting position - sitting with the buttocks on the heels, the socks are extended, the feet are connected, the back is straightened, the arms are raised above the head, the fingers, except for the index fingers, are intertwined, and index fingers connected and straightened up like an arrow.

After the words "Planet, respond!" children begin to sing "Sat-nam".

Repeat 3-5 times.

Note. "Sat" to pronounce sharply, like a whistle, pressing the stomach to the spinal column - this is a sharp exhalation. "Nam" to pronounce softly, relaxing the abdominal muscles - this is a small breath.

Breathing cycle: exhale "sat" - pause - inhale "us". With the pronunciation of “sat”, the muscles of the body are tensed: legs, buttocks, abdomen, chest, shoulders, arms, fingers and toes, muscles of the face and neck; "to us" - everything relaxes.

The exercise is performed at a slow pace. After the children say “Sat-nam” 6-8 times, the adult says: “I accepted the call signs!”

The planet breathes quietly, calmly and smoothly

Repeat the exercise “We breathe quietly, calmly and smoothly” from complex No. 1, but with a lower dosage in order to relax muscle tone.

aliens

Purpose: the same as in the exercises "We breathe quietly, calmly and smoothly", "Planet" Sat-nam "- respond!"

The difference in execution: muscle tension on inhalation, and relaxation on exhalation.

Starting position - 3-4 times from the supine position, 3-4 times standing. The exercise is performed under verbal accompaniment, for example: “Aliens wake up, tense up”, etc.

1. Calmly exhale air through the nose, drawing in the stomach and chest.

2. Slowly and smoothly inhale, filling the lungs completely.

3. Hold your breath, tensing all your muscles and mentally pronouncing: "I am strong (th)."

4. Calmly exhale air through the nose with muscle relaxation.

All three complexes are interconnected by the degree of increase in physical activity on certain muscles of the respiratory system and by the technique of execution.

In the first complex, more attention is paid to the types of breathing - soothing, restorative and cleansing (exercises are performed without much muscle tension).

The second complex is aimed at strengthening the nasopharynx, upper respiratory tract and lungs with a tension in the tone of certain muscle groups.

The third complex is mainly aimed at strengthening the muscle tone of the entire respiratory system.

All three complexes must be alternated within one or two weeks, i.e., each complex should be carried out for 2-3 days. (When learning each complex, the number of days can be increased.)

You can vary the complexes: for example, the entire complex, but with a lower dosage in the exercises, or 3-4 exercises from different complexes, but maintaining the dosage.

Younger preschoolers perform all breathing exercises with a lower dosage and in a simplified form, with gradual complication.

Individual exercises included in these complexes can be used as a prophylaxis against colds, especially in the cold season.

The complexes can be used in working with children of different preschool ages, but it is necessary to start with a simplified form of implementation. Children of the same age develop differently, so each child needs to be shown the exact technique of performing a breathing exercise, build work depending on his individual capabilities.

Junior group.

Exercise number 1. "Roll call of animals."

The roles of various animals and birds are distributed between children. Children should, having heard the name of their animal from the leader, pronounce the appropriate onomatopoeia with a slow exhalation.

The game is enlivened if the host tries to confuse the players: he calls the animal, but looks at the child who plays a completely different role. Attention is directed to the duration and clarity of the sound of consonants and vowels.

Exercise number 2. "Trumpeter".

Children bring clenched fists to their faces, placing them in front of each other. As you exhale, slowly blow into the “pipe”. The instructor praises those who managed to blow into the "pipe" the longest.

Exercise number 3. "Axe".

The children are standing. Feet shoulder-width apart, arms lowered, and fingers interlocked. Quickly raise your hands - inhale, lean forward, slowly lowering the “heavy ax”, say - wow! - on a long exhalation.

Exercise number 4. "Crow".

Children are sitting. The arms are lowered along the body. Quickly raise your hands through the sides up - inhale, slowly lower your hands - exhale.

Say: Kar!

Exercise number 5. "Geese".

Children are sitting. The hands of bent arms are pressed to the shoulders. Take a quick breath, then slowly tilt your torso down, take your elbows back, on a long exhale say: ha. Keep your head straight.

Return to the starting position - inhale. As you exhale, say ha, gee.

A set of breathing exercises.

Exercise number 1. "Let's play with tummies."

Purpose: formation of diaphragmatic breathing.

In the supine position, the children put their hands on their stomach, inhale deeply - while the tummy inflates, then exhale - the tummy retracts. To make the exercise even more interesting, you can put some small toy on your stomach.

When the child dies, the toy rises up together with the stomach, and on exhalation, on the contrary, it goes down - as if it is swinging on a swing. Second option. In a standing position, children take a deep breath without raising their shoulders, and then exhale, controlling the movements of the abdomen with their hands.

Exercise number 2. "Recognize by smell."

Purpose: the development of a deep long breath, the development of smell.

Children take turns sniffing, for example, flowers, trying to remember their smell. An adult asks the child to close his eyes and offers him one of the flowers, offering him to determine by smell which flower is in front of him.

The child should take a deep long breath through the nose, without raising the shoulders, and then exhale and name the guessed flower. In order for the child to take a deep diaphragmatic breath, the adult first himself shows how to smell the flower. And then, holding the flower in front of the baby's face, the teacher asks the child to put both hands on his stomach and thus control his breathing.

Exercise number 3. "Let's teach the nose and mouth to breathe."

Purpose: differentiation of inhalation and exhalation through the nose and mouth, development of attention.

The child learns to control his inhalation and exhalation by exercising them different ways. First, the child inhales through the nose and exhales through the nose (2-4 times), pointing with the index finger to the nose; and, inhaling through the mouth, brings the palm to the mouth, but does not touch, but only tactilely controls the air stream coming out of the mouth. Second option. Exercises are carried out similarly: inhale through the mouth - exhale through the mouth (a palm is brought to the mouth) and inhale through the mouth - exhale through the nose (when inhaling, the child opens his mouth, and when exhaling, he closes and points to his nose with his index finger).

Exercise number 4. "Drive the ball into the goal."

Purpose: the development of a long, strong, purposeful exhalation, the development of an eye. An adult shows the children how to blow on the “ball” in order to drive it into a toy gate. The children take turns playing the game.

The winner is the one who managed to send the “ball” into the goal with one exhalation.

Exercise number 5. "Let's hum."

Purpose: to develop a long smooth oral exhalation.

An adult demonstrates to children how to blow into a bubble so that it buzzes. To do this, the lower lip should slightly touch the edge of the neck, and the blown air jet - “breeze” should be strong enough.

Then, in turn, the children themselves blow into their bubbles, achieving a buzzing sound. At the end of the exercise, all children blow at the same time.

When playing out the exercise, you can offer the kids several options when the buzz can mean the signal of a steamer, steam locomotive, or the howling of the wind. You can use the bubble as a musical instrument, making it buzz at the teacher's signal while playing specially selected music.

A set of breathing exercises.

Exercise number 1. "We breathe in different ways."

Starting position - sitting on a chair straight or standing:

Inhale and exhale through the nose (inhale quickly, not very deep, exhale long).

Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the mouth, exhale through the nose.

Inhale and exhale through one half of the nose, exhale through the other (alternately).

Inhale through one half of the nose, exhale through the other (alternately).

Inhale through the nose, slow exhale through the nose with intensification at the end.

Inhale through the nose, exhale through pursed lips.

Inhale through the nose, exhale through the nose with jerks.

Exercise number 2. "Candle".

Slow exhalation training while blowing on an imaginary or real candle flame. Focus on the stomach. Slowly blow on the "flame".

It deviates, try to keep the flame in a deviated position during exhalation.

Instead of a candle, you can take a strip of paper 2-3 cm wide and 10 cm long. Place your left palm between your chest and stomach, take a strip of paper in your right hand, using it as a candle, and blow it calmly, slowly and evenly.

The paper will deviate, if the exhalation is even, then it will be in the deflected position until the end of the exhalation. Pay attention to the movement of the diaphragm - the left palm, as it were, “slowly sinks” during exhalation. Repeat 2-3 times.

Exercise number 3. "Stubborn candle."

Intense strong exhalation training. Imagine a large candle, you understand that it will be difficult for you to extinguish it, but you definitely need to do it. Inhale, hold your breath for a second and blow on the candle, the flame has deflected but not extinguished.

Blow even harder, blow even harder. More!

Can you feel the movement of the diaphragm with your palm? Do you feel your lower abdomen tighten up? This exercise makes it possible to feel the active movements of the diaphragm and abdominal muscles.

Repeat 2-3 times.

Exercise number 4. "Extinguish 3,4,5,6, ... 10 candles."

On one exhalation, “extinguish” 3 candles, dividing your exhalation into three portions. Now imagine that you have 5 candles. Do not try to inhale as much air as possible. Let the volume remain the same, just each portion of the air on exhalation will become smaller.

With the help of static and dynamic breathing exercises, they train abdominal muscles and diaphragm muscles. These exercises can be used in the complex of morning exercises.

Exercise number 5. "Belly dance."

Tilt your upper body forward at a 45-degree angle, and place your hands on your lower back with your thumbs forward. Look straight ahead, back straight, shoulders back.

Execution - simultaneously with exhalation, the stomach is pulled in p-ffff, then a reflex inhale occurs, the stomach moves forward. Repeat 3-5 times.

Training exercises for the development of intercostal respiratory muscles. Recall that the air filling of the middle part of the lungs depends on how the intercostal respiratory muscles are developed.

A set of breathing exercises.

Preparatory group.

Exercise number 1. "Fragrant rose."

Starting position - standing, focus on the ribs. Place your palms on your ribs on either side of your chest. Execution - imagine that you are smelling a fragrant rose. Inhale slowly through the nose - note how the ribs of the chest parted.

You felt it with your palms, and now exhale, the ribs lowered and the palms too. The abdomen and shoulders remain motionless. Remember that all attention is only on the ribs, as you want to train the intercostal muscles.

Breaths should be shallow, but full. Repeat 3-4 times.

Exercise number 2. "Exhale - inhale."

Starting position - standing or sitting on a chair. Execution - after an energetic exhalation to p-ffff, raise your hands, put them behind your head and lean back, inhaling, then, leaning forward, reach the floor and mentally count to 15 - this is a breath.

Exercise number 3. "Singing sounds."

Table. And, uh, a, oh, u, s, e, i, yo, u.

Say this table several times, each time on one exhalation, first in front of the mirror and silently, then in a whisper, then out loud without a mirror, but do not press the strength of the voice.

Exercise number 4. "Bird".

Starting position standing, legs together, arms along the body. On the count of times, raise your arms through the sides up - inhale, hold your breath for one count, then slowly lower your arms through the sides - exhale on a lingering sound pffff, - ssss. Repeat 2 times.

Exercise number 5. "Funny steps."

Walking around the room or outdoors. Inhale for one step, hold for one count, exhale for 4 steps. Every 2-3 days increase the duration of exhalation by 1 count.

In order to learn to exhale in 10-15 steps in 1 month.

"Gymnastics for the brain"

Regular slow breathing exercises are a good remedy to increase the strength of protective mechanisms that protect the brain from insufficient blood supply. Pinching and holding the breath, accompanied by a decrease in oxygen and an increase in carbon dioxide in the blood, activates the corresponding mechanisms, including reflex vasodilation and an increase in cerebral blood flow. Speech, diaphragmatic-costal breathing, in which the inhalation is short and the exhalation is long (1:15; 1:20), just trains these defense mechanisms, thereby playing a physiological role in increasing mental performance.

A set of exercises

Exercise number 1. "Forward bends."

Starting position - feet shoulder width apart, raise your arms above your head. Take a calm breath and exhale, then, holding your breath, bend over, reaching the floor with your hands.

Do several (5-7) tilts until there is a feeling of lack of air, then take the starting position, inhale and exhale, hold your breath again, then repeat the torso tilts again. After performing - calm walking, without holding your breath. Repeat the exercise 2 times.

Exercise number 2. "Squats."

The same as in the first exercise, only instead of tilting the torso, a squat is done. Repeat 2 times.

Exercise number 3. "Direct pendulum."

Swinging the body forward - backward. Starting position - feet shoulder width apart, arms at 30 degrees, back straight. A sharp “braking” and a quick tilt back, a sharp “braking” and again tilting forward, and so on 15-20 times. Breathing is arbitrary.

Movements are performed continuously.

Exercise number 4. "Side Pendulum".

Rocking the body from side to side. Starting position - standing. Legs together, hands on the belt. Quickly tilt the torso to the left, stop abruptly, tilt the torso to the right - a sharp deceleration, and so on 15-20 times.

The movement is performed continuously, the breath is not held.

Constancy and systematicity are a necessary condition for setting diaphragmatic breathing. Children should do breathing exercises meaningfully, and not mechanically.

The importance of proper breathing for health was understood in antiquity and is recognized by modern doctors. Methods for teaching and treating people by saturating organs and blood with oxygen were developed in ancient China and India. In Russia, Strelnikova's breathing exercises have become the most famous respiratory health system. What is its feature, how to use it yourself, we'll talk in our article.

From this article you will learn

Brief history of creation

The author of a unique method of breathing exercises, which has a positive effect on the entire body, is Alexandra Severovna Strelnikova. She was an opera singer. Loads on ligaments, voice breakdown were familiar to her by occupation. In order to recover faster after concerts, Strelnikova came up with a special system of breathing exercises. She worked on it herself, taught colleagues, trained the breathing of her daughter, who suffered from heart disease.

The results of the training amazed the author and the students. Strelnikova's daughter was cured of the disease, one of the singer's colleagues, Mikhail Shchetinin, got rid of bronchial asthma. Vocalists came to Alexandra Severovna for help to restore their voice, learn how to breathe properly to maintain health.

In 1973, Strelnikova patented her breathing technique, has released several scientific papers substantiating its positive effect on the human body. The original task of gymnastics - restoring the voice - faded into the background.

Alexandra Severovna focused on the health side of exercises for children and adults. They learned about the development all over the world, until now Strelnikova’s gymnastics is called not by the name of the creator, but simply by the “Russian national breathing system”.

The essence of gymnastics is to train the correct inhalation and exhalation. They differ in depth, intensity, frequency. In the process of saturating the body with oxygen with the body, internal organs and systems miracles happen. We can say that they are reborn, begin to live anew, finally gaining the necessary amount of energy.

What is the use

Breathing according to Strelnikova for children and adults is not officially included in the general list of exercise therapy, but the technique has been studied comprehensively in medical centers. According to research data and from the experience of the practical application of gymnastics, the following conclusions can be drawn about the benefits of exercise:

  • the tone of the body increases;
  • immunity is activated;
  • metabolic processes are accelerated;
  • posture is corrected;
  • nasal breathing is restored;
  • the muscles of the chest are strengthened;
  • oxygen exchange is established;
  • easier to correct speech disorders;
  • the vocal cords are strengthened;
  • improves the work of the gastrointestinal tract, central nervous system;
  • changes in the lungs and bronchi are eliminated;
  • the number of colds, SARS decreases.

Breathing exercises according to Strelnikova for preschool children, adolescents, adults have a positive effect on the treatment of certain pathologies:

  • diabetes;
  • bronchial asthma;
  • cardiovascular diseases;
  • ulcerative lesions of the stomach, intestines;
  • enuresis;
  • stuttering;
  • adenoids;
  • osteochondrosis;
  • neuroses.

Strelnikova's breathing method is used as a prevention of disorders in the functioning of organs and systems of the body and as an auxiliary therapy for drug treatment.

Comparison of breathing exercises

There are several types of respiratory systems. This is the Buteyko method, hatha yoga and others. They are built on the following principles:

  • deep breath;
  • breath holding;
  • slow breathing;
  • breathing at rest.

Gymnastics Strelnikova has a number of differences from traditional methods:

Breath according to StrelnikovaClassic breathing exercises
You need to take the exact number of breaths - 96. The optimal frequency is 60-70 in 1 minute.The respiratory rate is set individually, depending on the capabilities of the patient. The average number of breaths is 18/1 min.
It is necessary to achieve acceleration heart rate by increasing the number of breaths per minute, active movements of the arms, chest muscles.The heart rate decreases or remains normal (60-70 beats per minute).
Inhalations are sharp, short, through the nose, exhalations are arbitrary.Breathing is calm. Inhale deep, exhale extended.
The goal of the patient is to inhale at the moment of resistance of the chest muscles.The body helps to breathe, the chest opens to the air flow.

Gymnastics Strelnikova differs sharply from all the others in the approach to breathing, the force of the load on muscles and organs. The singer's system is called paradoxical, but the technique is positively evaluated based on the results of its application.

Indications and contraindications

Her colleague and student Mikhail Shchetinin studied the positive and negative effects of Strelnikova's exercises. A list of indications and contraindications for undergoing such therapy is published in the book "Respiratory Gymnastics", published jointly with Alexandra Severovna's daughter, Alexandra Nikolaevna Strelnikova.

  • chronic sinusitis, sinusitis;
  • nasal breathing disorders, chronic runny nose;
  • gastrointestinal ulcers;
  • adenoids (I-II degree);
  • scoliosis, posture disorders;
  • frequent SARS, acute respiratory infections;
  • chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs;
  • psychosomatic diseases;
  • residual processes of tuberculosis;
  • logoneuroses, ZRR.
  • epilepsy;
  • severe diseases of the brain and spinal cord;
  • increased ocular and intracranial pressure;
  • heart attack, stroke in history;
  • heart disease in the stage of exhaustion, decompensation;
  • fractures;
  • postoperative period;
  • fever with increased ESR;
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • osteoporosis.

Basic rules of gymnastics

It is necessary to perform breathing exercises according to the Strelnikova method, strictly observing the rules of inhalation and exhalation. The purpose of the classes: to form the skill of properly saturating the body with oxygen.

  1. Inhale only through the nose. Air is taken in quickly, sharply, briefly. To simplify the process, inhale noisily.
  2. Oxygen is sent deep.
  3. Inhalation is done frequently, every second.
  4. Break Strelnikov's hundred (96 breaths) into cycles. For children - 4 breaths, for adults - 8 each. That is, the kids inhale 4 times every second, rest for 3-5 seconds, then continue the gymnastics again, doing only 24 cycles. Adults breathe 12 cycles of 8 exercises. The break is the same.
  5. Exhalation is done voluntarily through the mouth or nose. At the moment of pushing out the air, you do not need to think about exhaling. It passes on its own.
  6. Simultaneously with breathing, movements of the arms, chest, and head are made. Kit physical activity depends on the exercise and age of the patient.
  7. Muscles on inspiration should tense up, resist the flow of oxygen. This is the basic rule for charging according to Strelnikova.
  8. On exhalation, the chest relaxes.
  9. You can do exercises standing, lying, sitting.

Important! In the first lessons with children, you need to work out the skill of compressing the chest. From birth, babies are used to inflating their chest when they inhale. According to Strelnikova, it expands after the release of air. This is the most difficult moment, but fundamental.

  1. You can do gymnastics according to Strelnikova for children from 3-4 years old and adults of any age.
  2. Do exercises in a group, family.
  3. Regularity is the key to success. Give exercise 5-10 minutes daily for the prevention of acute respiratory infections, for good health; 40 minutes each - in order to cure the disease, correct spinal deformities, and improve the psychosomatic state.
  4. Start your workout with a warm up.
  5. Turn on a march, a melody in the rhythm of a drill step.
  6. Adhere to the method of nasal breathing in Everyday life outside of gymnastics.

How to start classes (exercises)

Charging according to Strelnikova for children is based on three main exercises. They need to be mastered first of all, then used as a warm-up.

"Palms"

Preschoolers stand, arms bent at the elbows, palms looking up. You need to keep your hands in front of you.

A short breath is taken, the palms are rhythmically compressed. We draw in air 4 times noisily, actively, sharply. The cams are also compressed 4 times. We rest for 3-5 seconds, at this moment an arbitrary exhalation occurs.

We repeat a series of breaths and contractions of the palms 24 times (4 per cycle).

"Pump"

The children are in front of a tire inflation pump. Stand up straight, hands down. On the count of times, we round the back, relax the neck, lower the head, lean down. Simultaneously with the slope, we take a short breath, as if we were pumping a pump. At the moment of inhalation, you need to compress the chest, bend your back so that it interferes with the expansion of the chest muscles from the air. We inhale 4 times without a break to exhale.

On the count of two, we exhale, rise, straighten our back, relax the muscles of the chest. Rest 3-5 seconds.

The cycle is repeated 24 or 12 times (8 and 4 breaths for each).

"Leaders"

Children stand, hands down along the body. You need to clench your fists. On inhalations (4 each), the palms open sharply, as if they are pushing something unpleasant away from themselves. At the same time, the arms remain in position along the body.

After each cycle, rest and exhale. We repeat 24 times.

Games and exercises

Children's option respiratory complex in one lesson consists of three stages:

  1. warm-up;
  2. performance basic exercises (3–4);
  3. games.

Here is a set of tasks for children without individual characteristics. The purpose of the lesson: to strengthen the immune system, correct posture, improve nasal breathing, create a comfortable psychological state. Additional task for the lesson: development of speech, motor skills, physical strength and endurance.

Warm up

Consists of basic exercises: "Pump", "Palms" and "Shoulders". Tasks are performed while standing, in a good rhythm to the music.

Watch the pace and depth of breaths, children exhale from the mouth or nose, as desired. For babies 3-7 years old, it is enough to carry out 4 breaths for 24 respiratory cycles; adolescents and adults 8 breaths - 12 cycles.

Important! Instead of music, you can use rhythmic poems. Read loudly, tap the tempo with your palm or steps. Each step - inhale, stop (pause) - exhale.

Basic exercises

Include two or three tasks in one lesson, change their order, set every week if you train regularly. The following exercises are suitable for preschoolers:

"Turns"

Children fix their heads straight. Task: turn your head left and right. The body at this time remains in place, hands below. At the beginning of the turn, we inhale, when the head returns to its original position, we exhale. We do 4 turns, then the next cycle. Rest 3 seconds between them.

"Kitty"

The child spreads his legs a little, bends his arms at the elbows and presses them to the body. It is important to squeeze the sides so that they do not swell when inhaling. Keep your back straight.

On inspiration, we do not squat to the end, slightly turn the body to the side, throw our hands forward, as if we are grabbing something. On the exhale we get up. We alternate turns.

"Hug your shoulders"

Preschoolers keep their hands on their shoulders, elbows parallel to the floor, to the side. On inhalation, the arms hug the shoulders, squeezing the chest with maximum force. On exhalation, we return to the starting position. The eyes should look forward, the head should not change position.

"Ears"

Babies stand up straight. On inspiration, the ears approach the shoulder alternately, on exhalation they return back.

"Steps"

Children stand up straight. Raise one leg up, bending at the knee, inhale, lower the leg - exhale. Legs need to be alternated. Hands can be kept on the belt or lowered down.

Important! For individual lessons choose exercises based on children's health problems. On group, do any of the suggested.

Games

Charging, even therapeutic, should be fun. Complete any of the games below. They are based on the Strelnikova method and are performed by children with great pleasure.

"Diver"

Ask the children to pretend they are pearl seekers, divers without an oxygen tank. They need to take in air, they need to do this several times without exhaling. Inhalation is done through the nose, short and noisy (2-3 times).

Then they hold their breath and dive (squat down). The one who swims last will win.

“Gathering mushrooms” (analogous to the “Pump” exercise)

Read a poem about picking mushrooms in the forest. Children march in a circle, with each inclination for a mushroom, they inhale noisily through their nose, unbend - exhale. Everyone must collect 10 mushrooms.

Exercise for diseases

Strelnikova's technique is used as an adjunctive therapy for certain diseases. Exercises are selected individually for each case and patient.

  1. Respiratory gymnastics Strelnikova with adenoids in children consists of the exercises "Cat" and "Steps". Other tasks are included at the request of the child and parent.
  2. In case of asthma, suffocation in remission, frequent coughing, include the exercises “Pump”, “Turns”, “Hug your shoulders” in the system.
  3. To get rid of logoneuroses, the tasks "Hug your shoulders", "Pump" with the simultaneous pronunciation of tongue twisters, tongue twisters are suitable.

On a note! To simplify the alignment of the course of classes, the child’s quick assimilation of the methodology for performing exercises, you need to download pictures, diagrams, detailed instructions online. Have them handy during the lesson, study and try to perform in a calm environment before testing the method.

Mistakes and negative effects on the body

Strelnikova's breathing method was studied from all sides. Opponents of the healing system talk about its negative impact on the body in a small number of patients. This is expressed as follows:

  1. As people perform tasks, their heart rate rises. In patients with cardiac disorders, this causes arrhythmia, an ischemic attack.
  2. Sharp breaths put the strongest pressure on the vessels, lungs, bronchi. The volume of the respiratory and circulatory organs increases dramatically. If the lungs, bronchi are deformed, then their motor, respiratory function may be impaired due to spasm. It is dangerous for asthma, shortness of breath, asthma attacks.
  3. The amount of oxygen in the blood increases over a short period of time. Then the reverse reaction occurs: the body experiences a lack of it, the pH level changes (becomes alkaline). The brain reacts to this with a spasm. A person has a feeling of euphoria, increased excitability, activity.

It is not in vain that the author of the technique and its followers pay attention to contraindications to performing exercises. In severe conditions, with poor health, serious pathologies of the respiratory system, heart, blood vessels, it is not recommended to practice using the march inhalation-exhalation system.

It is advisable to completely abandon such experiments or reduce the load, draw up an individual scheme of alternative therapy together with the attending physician.
