Not only the fans do not know this, but also the coaches and the athletes themselves. You can lament about this as much as you like or say that everything could be much worse, but the unknown is what we will have to live with for the next few weeks.
Ahead is the work of the commission for the admission of "Olympic Athletes from Russia", arbitration courts and other unsportsmanlike procedures that can radically change the face of our team. There's nothing to even argue about. The ski team - without and, the speed skating team - without and, the bobsleigh team - without, the skeletal team - without and ... The compositions with or without these stars have fundamentally different capabilities. But to all the doping and political troubles, more traditional stories of injuries were added. Although hockey success (and the chances of this are very high) in itself is able to compensate for all other failures.
In any case, in the current uncertainty, in addition to negative emotions, there are also pluses. We are waiting for a very unpredictable and controversial Olympics. Someone may think that we lost the Games even before they started, but someone is sure that the mere appearance of the Russians at the start in Pyeongchang is already a victory. So the estimates vary greatly even before the start of the Olympics, and its results, for sure, will again cause heated discussions.
