Russian series circuit racing(SMP RSKG)- official competitions in automobile circuit races in the status Championship and Cup of Russia.

The official tire partner of the Russian series is YOKOHAMA. The number of spectators at the stage reaches 22,000 people.

CLASSES

Now they will be joined by a novelty of AvtoVAZ - a restyled hatchback LADA Granta.
Championship SMP RSKG National Junior- new youth series created in 2015. Boys and girls from 14 to 17 years old take part in it on domestic cars - these are LADA Kalina hatchbacks and Volkswagen Polo sedans. The technical requirements assume the same high level security, as in the senior classes of the SMP RSKG, but a lesser degree of improvements, the use of inexpensive components and affordable entry fees.
SMP Formula 4- a formula series for young drivers, which started as part of the Northern European Championship in 2015. From the new season we will see at the start only Russian athletes, who will fight for the RAF Cup and will share the paddock with the participants of the SMP RSKG at all stages.

COMPETITION RULES
Every race weekend pilots of each class SMP RSKG carry out two races lasting 20-30 minutes.

You need to navigate, drive, overtake, look for waypoints and live in field conditions for two whole weeks, moving from Murmansk to Vladivostok. In 2015, the race was decided to be held every five years, and if everything goes according to plan, the next one will take place in 2020. The promised prize for the winner is $100,000. [Igromania.ru] We closely follow all the events, but for a long time we have not heard anything about major championships in racing simulators in the CIS. Interest in this genre has fallen? How is it doing abroad?
[N. Fronts] It's not about the decline in interest in racing as such, it's just that the world has experienced an online revolution. Now games are sharpened for network modes, and in order to be interesting to play, such an MMO element as pumping is often needed. Such games, firstly, are more interesting, and secondly, they allow companies to constantly earn money by updating content and, therefore, do not need promotion so actively (tournaments are, first of all, promotion of the game). Now racing games are divided into three types:
Simulators - relatively few people play them, because the mechanics are quite complicated and it is impossible to play normally without a steering wheel. As an example, I can give iRacing; By the way, many online tournaments are now held on it.

Fronts] I communicated with Jessie Abney, producer, and together with the Russian office Electronic Arts we sent our recommendations, but, unfortunately, it did not work, because some are interested in money, while others need to do their job. The developers simply embody the idea of the producer. Any marketer will tell you that you need to focus on consumer preferences - but game manufacturers never do any research or smart surveys, they just blindly do what they want.

[N. Fronts] I like to play myself League of Legends. The game is really good and addictive. And most importantly - it is sharpened for computer sports. Understand correctly, almost all gamers play games of different genres, and racing is no exception. Therefore, I do not agree that interest has fallen, it's just that racing is now less accessible. They need a good steering wheel and preferably a special chair - and not everyone can afford it.

[N. Fronts] GoRace- This is my trial failed business. The idea was to popularize racing in Russia and create computer club for racers, with all necessary equipment. All this was part of the marketing strategy to increase sales of Gamestul gaming chairs. Who knows, perhaps in a couple of years these boys will become a thunderstorm for all virtual racers on the planet.
A few months later, it turned out that our riders do not like to get out of the house, and the local contingent perceives it more like a slot machine and is not ready to spend enough money and time. Thus, we had two problems at once: the need to change the concept and look for a new place.
The solution was found in the karting club Forza Karting, and the price rose to 150 rubles in 15 minutes. The project finally began to bring in money, but due to disagreements with partners, I soon had to leave it. At the moment I do not follow the development of GoRace, so I cannot say what it is now.
[Igromania.ru] Championship in a computer game helps when driving a real car? Are the skills acquired in NFS applicable on ordinary Moscow roads? By the way, what are you driving today?
[N. Fronts] This of course depends on the game - playing trackmania or NFS World, you can only increase the reaction speed and, at best, master the correct trajectories for typical turns. If we talk about simulators, then, of course, it helps. We somehow talked with Mikhail Alyoshin on this topic and came to the conclusion that the main difference between the simulator and the real car is the very feeling of the fifth point.

In simulator races, you realize a little later that the car is about to blow off, but in a real car you always feel how your rubber holds you. The second difference is that there is no sense of change in the slope of the track, which, in turn, does not allow you to experience such turns as "corkscrew" or "red water".
But all the principles of racing are the same - here you have the same trajectories, the same principles of overtaking, and similar tracks. As a rule, virtual racers quickly adapt to a real car and may well show results comparable to those of professional racers.
