Conclusion:

For those who just want to come shoot, the most cost-effective option is to get into the “happy hours” of the Practical Shooting Academy. The cost of 100 shots will be only 2500 rubles.

If luck is not on your side, then you can opt for the Vystrel sports complex, where from 12 to 16 o’clock the cost of 100 shots is 3,200 rubles, and the rest of the time – 4,000 rubles. But, you need to remember that only 4 types of pistols are available for shooting here. Although for the first visit, it probably doesn’t make much difference what you shoot from, the sensations will be equally good.

If you want to shoot with several types of weapons, you should go to “Object”, the cost on Mondays here is 4900 rubles, you will be given the opportunity to shoot with 4 pistols, one of which will be in the “Roni” body kit (with a stock and a handle for more accurate shooting).

If you decide to make practical shooting your main hobby and practice regularly, then again, first of all, you should pay attention to shooting club "Vystrel". For club members, 100 rounds of ammunition on weekdays from 12 to 16 hours will cost 2,000 rubles. + 600 rub. payment for instructor services. The rest of the time the cost of a shot is 25 rubles. + the same 600 rub. instructor services, i.e. 100 shots will cost 3100 rubles. 4 classes per month – 10,400 rubles if you come on weekdays from 12 to 16 o’clock, or 12,400 rubles if you come at any other time.

Here it turns out the best budget option training, but the club does not have a special program according to which all instructors would work. Therefore, everything you do depends entirely on the instructor.

In addition, they do not issue a sports belt with a holster and pouches, and this itself already limits the learning process, because... Some actions will not be available to you.

On the other hand, if you really want to practice shooting, you can purchase all the necessary equipment yourself. Below you will find calculations for training in other clubs; it will be clear that training at Vystrel is noticeably cheaper, and the savings can be used to purchase equipment.

You can also register at Unibos. 4 lessons per month for 100 rounds will cost you 12,000 rubles if you shoot from domestic weapons. Ammo for other pistols will be a little more expensive, and the total cost will accordingly increase. Classes are held on Sundays. But here you need to sign up in advance and wait until the group is full.

If your budget allows, you can enroll in practical shooting courses in SC "Gepard". 8 lessons per month, approximately 3750 rubles. each. But during this month you are guaranteed to be taught how to shoot well. Many professional shooters who compete at both federal competitions and world championships train in this club.

At SC “Object”, after completing the Proshooter course, the cost of a shot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be 20 rubles, i.e. for 100 rounds you will pay only 2000 rubles. and study on your own. But to take this course, you will have to work hard and spend money. Let's do the math:

  • Option 1 – you come with two friends. In this case, you pay 2700 rubles. for 100 rounds, 500 rub. for equipment and 600 rubles. instructor services. Total 3800 rub. Those. 4 lessons per month will be worth it 15200 rub. The only problem is where to find these two friends who could train with you regularly
  • Option 2 – you come with a friend together. In this case, you pay 2700 rubles. for 100 rounds, 500 rub. for equipment and 1150 rubles. for the services of an instructor. Total 4350 rub. Those. 4 lessons per month will be worth it 17400 rub.
  • Option 3 – with friends who share your hobby, it’s a big problem, and you study alone (the most realistic option, in fact). You will have to pay 2700 rubles. for 100 rounds, 500 rub. for equipment and 2300 rubles. for the services of an instructor. Total 5500 rub. Those. 4 lessons per month will be worth it 22000 rub.

On my own behalf, I can add that the advantage of training at the Facility, despite the high price, is that they still teach shooting well here and you can always choose an instructor with whom you will feel comfortable training. The program itselfProshooter consists of 10 tests, and in my subjective opinion, it is not entirely balanced. In particular, putting the very difficult “Change of Store” test in second place was not entirely correct. Only more or less trained shooters who, for example, are interested in airsoft, can pass it the first time. For others it will not be realistic. As a result, you can spend several training sessions on this test alone.

On the other hand, in the future you can take several tests in one training session; this is not prohibited by the club rules. The rest of the tests are not so difficult, so it will be quite possible to take 2 or even 3 per training session (tested on myself).

We compared prices at shooting clubs based on the cost of 100 shots. But you need to understand that this is the minimum volume that makes sense to take during regular training. It's better, of course, to take more– 200-300 rounds. After 100 shots, the shooter is just beginning to understand his mistakes, the next 50-100 shots he shoots more consciously, trying to correct them, and another 50-100 shots to consolidate.

If your goal is to perform at any shooting competition, then you will have to train not once a week, but two or even three times. Accordingly, costs will increase significantly.

What to take with you when visiting a shooting club for the first time

To visit the shooting club, it is better to make an appointment in advance by phone. You must have your passport with you. In some clubs it is required only on your first visit, in others you will have to take it with you always. It is better to clarify this question directly with the club staff during registration.

On your first visit, you most likely will not have to actively move while shooting, you will not need to run, overcome any obstacles, etc., this is still not airsoft or paintball, although at practical shooting competitions the arrows do not move less active. But on your first visit, all your shots will be fired from static position, so the question “What to wear?” It’s not worth it being so critical anymore. Regular everyday clothes are fine; girls, of course, should still avoid skirts and long heels so as not to lose stability when shooting.

All necessary equipment will be given to you at the club. At the first lesson, you are usually given only headphones and glasses. On subsequent ones there is an additional belt with pouches and a holster.

How many shots are enough to get enough shots?

Usually on hour-long workout 100-150 shots per person are enough. You can take several types of weapons, for example, shoot from the legendary Glock and Beretta, Makarov and TT, determine for yourself which pistol you like best, which one is more comfortable for you to shoot and has better hits. You can try shooting with a pistol and a carbine, or with several pistols and carbines. The only thing in different clubs your conditions, in some places you will be offered a standard set of weapons at the first lesson, in others you will need to pay extra for each additional pistol or carbine.

Here it is necessary to clarify that firing live ammunition in bursts from automatic weapons is prohibited in Russia. Therefore, if you have a great desire to fire a couple of bursts from a Kalashnikov, then this can only be done with blank cartridges. Some shooting clubs offer this service.

During registration, it is better to check whether the entire arsenal presented on the shooting club’s website is available for order. It happens that there are many models presented on the website, but in reality some of the weapons are not available for order. Of course, for those who don’t particularly care what to shoot with, this is not a problem, but if you wanted to shoot with a specific model of pistol, and for some reason it is unavailable (under repair or something else), and If this turns out only directly at the club, it will be a little offensive. Therefore, it is better to immediately clarify everything by phone.

Video of practical shooting competitions:

If you have not yet had the opportunity to hold a pistol in your hands and shoot from it, then in this article you will learn about correct grip and aiming technique. In theory, aiming a pistol is fairly easy, but it still takes some practice to develop the skill to handle the weapon safely, hold it confidently, and aim it on target. So go to the shooting range, and first read and remember what you need to do to hit the target.

Basic pistol shooting technique

What will you need?

  • Target

Grip (hold) of a pistol

Hold the gun in your dominant hand. Your dominant hand should grip the pistol handle so that thumb lay on the inside of the trunk.

  • Your middle finger ring finger, and the little finger should cover the outer and front part of the handle.
  • The index finger should be on the outside of the trigger guard.
  • This way of holding a gun will give you maximum quantity levers necessary to reduce the vibration of the weapon in the hand during recoil.

Place your non-dominant hand on the other side of the handle. It will support the other hand and provide additional leverage when shooting.

  • Place your hand as high as possible on the handle.
  • All four fingers should be under the trigger guard, with your index finger firmly resting on the bottom of the trigger guard.
  • The thumb should point forward and touch the other thumb.

Pistol shooting stance

Assume your shooting position. Stand up straight with your feet firmly planted on the ground and point the gun at your target. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart with your knees slightly bent.

  • This position will allow you to move easily while providing stability to your body.
  • Raise the gun in front of you. Your arms should be extended forward and slightly bent at the elbows. The gun should not be near your face.
  • Lean your torso forward a little, imagine as if you are “drilling” a wall with a drill. This way you can maintain balance despite the recoil when shooting.

Aiming technique when shooting

Take aim. Follow the instructions below to properly aim at the target.

  • Most people have their dominant eye on the same side as their dominant hand, but there are exceptions.
  • To determine which eye is your dominant, put the large and index fingers in the form of a ring. Then extend your hand and look through the ring at some distant object.
  • Start gradually moving the ring closer to your face, keeping both eyes open, but not looking at it. As a result, you will bring your hand to your dominant eye.

When aiming, the front sight and rear sight of the pistol must be in line. The pistol has a rear sight and a front sight. When you aim, the front sight should be exactly centered between the two edges of the rear sight slot.

  • The front sight consists of one part, and the rear sight consists of two parts with a slot.
  • There should be the same distance between the front sight and the edges of the rear sight slot.
  • The top of the front sight should also be flush with the edges of the rear sight.

Take aim. When you aim a pistol, you will need to look at the rear sight, front sight, and target. Of course, it is physically impossible to look at all three objects at once. Therefore, try to focus mainly on the front and rear sights. In this case, it is recommended to focus on the front sight (closer to the muzzle of the pistol).

  • The target should look a little blurry. You should be able to see it, but it should be in the background and less clear than the front and rear sights.
  • More specifically, you must concentrate on the front sight. It will help you determine the relative position of the gun to your target.

Select a location on the target. The target has three places where you need to aim. No one location is preferable to another, so you will have to determine for yourself which one will be the most convenient for aiming.

  • You can aim directly at the center of the target. To do this, you need to center the top of the front sight accordingly. The line of the top of the front sight should also coincide with the horizontal line of the center of the target.
  • You can aim directly under the bull's eye (this method of aiming is called 6:00 o'clock). When actually shooting, aim so that upper part the fly slightly extended beyond the lower part of the black field of the apple.
  • Or you can aim just below the bull's eye (sub 6 aim). When actually shooting, the front sight should be aimed approximately at the middle of the white part of the target field below the bull's eye.

Concentrate. You will need patience and concentration. If you aim sloppy, you will probably miss.

  • Before shooting, make sure that the front sight is correctly installed in the rear sight slot.
  • Take your time and be calm. If you get nervous and try to pull the trigger too hard, you may lose your aim and miss.

Pull the trigger and fire. Do this confidently, evenly, and do not delay.

  • Pull the trigger evenly. Apply pressure only to the front of the trigger.
  • First, pull the trigger until you feel resistance.
  • Then continue to pull the trigger until you fire. Try not to expect it, as this often leads to a miss.

Shooting safety

  • Be sure to keep your index finger on the brace before shooting.
  • Point the gun in a safe direction. You should always point the gun away from people to avoid injuring anyone or damaging other people's property. If you're at a shooting range, hold the gun pointing downwards.
  • Consider your gun loaded even if it isn't. This is necessary to prevent a possible tragedy.
  • You must clearly see where your target is, as well as the entire area around and beyond it. It is important to ensure that all precautions are taken and that no one is caught in the line of fire. The target must be positioned so that it does not endanger anyone or anything in its vicinity. If you are going to shoot on private property, make sure there are no homes or businesses nearby.

According to the rules and regulations International Confederation Practical Shooting (ICPS), or in English the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), has established THREE “gold” ones since its founding basic rules safety when shooting, also called CODE ARROW:

1. My weapon is always loaded!

In any situation, in any case and with any weapon, we handle like with a charged one(remember how much you heard about a gun that hung on the wall for several years and then suddenly went off?)

2. I will only point the gun where I am going to shoot!

Typical mistakes when aiming

Mistakes happen when aiming incorrectly. They occur if the front sight is not installed correctly in the rear sight slot. How correctly you aim can be determined by the bullet hits on the target.

  • If the bullet landed below the center of the target, then when aiming, the upper part of the front sight was below the upper edges of the rear sight slot.
  • If the bullet hit above the center of the target, then the top of the front sight was above the top edges of the rear sight slot.
  • If the bullet landed to the right of the center, then the front sight was closer to right side rear sight slots.
  • If the bullet landed to the left of the center of the target, then the front sight was located closer to the left side of the rear sight slot.

Parallel offset. This error occurs when the front and rear sights are installed correctly, but your hand is thrown up by the recoil.

  • It will all depend on where the recoil sends your hand - up or down. Accordingly, try to aim slightly above the center of the target or slightly below.

Mistakes when holding a pistol. Parallel displacement is not the only error that can occur when shooting. Bullet holes in the target may also indicate other errors.

  • If the bullet hits the target closer to your dominant side, then you are most likely gripping the gun too tightly with your thumb or pulling the trigger too hard. Accordingly, if the bullet lands in the other direction from the center of the target, then you are pressing the trigger too lightly.
  • If you're right-handed and the bullet hits the lower right corner (or vice versa if you're left-handed), you're probably gripping your gun too hard when you pull the trigger. If you hit the bottom left corner, you are most likely pulling the trigger too hard.
  • If you are right-handed and the bullet hits the upper right corner (or vice versa if you are left-handed), then you expect recoil when firing. If the bullet hits the top left corner, then you are also expecting recoil or not “following the shot.”

Now you know (in theory) how to properly stand on your feet, hold a gun and aim it at a target. All that remains is to consolidate this knowledge with practice. Therefore, feel free to go to the shooting range!

And remember that THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS SAFETY!

Pistol shooting practice is popular among both adults and children. There is a specially developed methodology for acquiring weapons skills and increasing the level of skill. Pistol shooting courses not only teach shooting techniques, but also introduce the rules for safe use of weapons.

To learn shooting you will need an experienced instructor.

Where does the training take place?

You can learn to shoot a pistol in practice at sports clubs or at special courses in pneumatic shooting ranges.

How the lesson is structured

Unlike sports shooting, which requires high skill and psychological stability, practical shooting lessons can become a kind of entertainment or hobby that will help relieve stress after a hard day at work.

Lessons can be individual with an instructor or group. The latter involve classes with a trainer in groups of an average of 4 people. This is reflected in the cost of the course. Individual lessons more expensive.

Any shooting training course for beginners begins with training in weapon safety. Then the trainer helps the student master the technique of gripping (holding) the weapon and teaches correct stance and breathing during shooting.

This will help prevent the gun from swinging in your hand and keep your body balanced during recoil.

It is necessary to take a stable posture. Feet should be shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent.

Your arms should be extended forward, your elbows slightly bent. You can't hold a weapon in front of your face. This will help avoid injury during kickback.

The second stage of training is to familiarize the student with the basic commands that can be given by the coach during the shooting process. Not only the determination of the action algorithm and the result of shooting, but also the safety of the shooter himself depends on this.

Only after the student has mastered basic skills does the instructor begin practical exercises and accuracy training.

First of all, you need to determine your dominant eye. This is necessary to master aiming skills.

For most people, their dominant eye is the same as their dominant hand, but this is not always the case. To correctly identify it, you need to connect your thumb and index finger. The resulting ring should be slowly brought closer to the eyes.

Both eyes should be open. You can't look at the ring. The gaze should be directed through it to a distant object. The hand itself will intuitively approach the dominant eye.

  1. When aiming, the front sight should be in the center of the rear sight (slot).
  2. The upper part of the front sight is located on the same level as the rear sight.
  3. The target appears a little blurry, but it should not be overlooked. Attention should be focused on the front and rear sights.
  4. The top line of the front sight should coincide with the horizontal line of the target.

It is important to remain calm while doing this. Without concentration, there is a high probability of a miss.

Shot technology:

  1. While pressing down on the front of the trigger, press it evenly.
  2. Press until resistance appears.
  3. Fire a shot.

During classes, one brand of pistol is used. This is necessary for the student to get used to the weapon.

All of the above rules apply not only to lessons on sports shooting, but also to training in combat shooting. Tactical shooting is different in that the student is taught the skills of firing in different situations from any position. This is both accuracy, speed, and close combat tactics.

To master and consolidate shooting techniques, you will need from 4 to 8 lessons. Having studied the basics of pistol shooting, you can further improve your personal weapon skills.

Press the trigger evenly and smoothly.

Age restrictions for students

Sports schools accept students from 10-12 years of age into children's pistol shooting groups if they are absent medical contraindications. It is believed that children under this age are not ready to work with weapons, either physically or psychologically.

As practice shows, many private schools accept children from 8-9 years old at the discretion of the coach, provided that the child is well physically developed and has a strong physique for his age. But on official level this should not be allowed. Parents need to remember that there is a risk to the child.

Guns are not toys for children.

What do you need to register?

To register for shooting courses for beginners you must provide:

Approximate cost and preparation

The average cost of pistol shooting lessons is 1500-2500 rubles/hour. The cost of cartridges varies from 15 to 50 rubles/piece.

Many sports schools provide children under 16 years of age with free education.

To gain access to practical training, you must undergo instruction and pass a test on your knowledge of the rules for safe handling of weapons.
