Hockey show or battle in earnest. Hockey show at home tournament

Last Sunday took place friendly match between the team of the Zelenograd prefecture and the team "Legends of the USSR".

The meeting was timed to coincide with the second anniversary of the opening ice palace"Zelenogradsky", located in the 20th microdistrict. The meeting was preceded by speeches by Deputy Prefect of Zelenograd Alexei Nemeryuk and President of the Legends of the USSR team Alexander Yakushev. The prefect of the district Anatoly Smirnov visited the game. Before the match and during breaks, young skaters performed in front of the audience.

The duration of each period was 15 minutes. The match abounded with scoring chances from the first minutes, goalkeepers Vladimir Morozov (ZelAO Prefecture) and Mikhail Shtalenkov (Legends of the USSR) did not have to be bored. Zelenograd residents opened the scoring: goalkeeper Soviet legends did not react to the puck started by Dmitry Danilov - 1:0. But before the break, the guests forward Vitaly Prokhorov made a "hat-trick" by printing the Zelenograd goalkeeper, who had helped his teammates a lot before. In the first case, Prokhorov made a long pass and launched the puck exactly under the far cross. In the second, he received the puck from Roman Ilyin's pass and sent the puck to the goalkeeper's house. In the third - having received a pass on someone else's blue line, he ran to a rendezvous with the goalkeeper and clearly outplayed him - 1:3.

At the beginning of the second period, "Legends of the USSR" dangerously attacked and Prokhorov designed "poker", going one on one with the goalkeeper, he again clearly sent the puck to the "nine". Prokhorov's series of goals was interrupted by Roman Ilyin, who passed from the right and threw under the crossbar - 1:5. Zelenograd players were not able to immediately close the gap, Dmitry Shamolin and Boris Shekalin failed to outplay Shtalenkov in the implementation of free throws, which were awarded in this game for each violation. But soon after the second unsuccessful shootout, Gennady Artemyev won back one puck from Alexey Deev's pass. Dmitry Zinin finished off the puck into the net, reflected by Shtalenkov after Oleg Kurbatov's shot - 3:5.

At the beginning of the third fifteen-minute period, Oleg Kurbatov and Vladimir Filippov scored goals against the "Legends of the USSR" and equalized the score. But very quickly, after the transfer of Igor Boldin, Prokhorov again brought his team ahead - 5:6. A little time passed, and Prokhorov scored his sixth goal of the match, beating Zelenograd goalkeeper Maxim Platonov. The defender of the "Soviet legends" Ilya Byakin could have scored one more goal, but did not convert the bullet. Missed the chance to score another goal Prokhorov, who also did not use a bullet. Gennady Artemiev from Zelenograd reduced the gap to a minimum with Vladimir Zhilin's pass. Top scorer guests Vitaly Prokhorov did not implement a bullet, and Dmitry Shamolin used this hockey "standard position" on the second attempt, and the second seven appeared on the scoreboard.

After the end of the match, a series of free throws was held, which also ended in a draw - 2:2.

Representatives of the Eastern Conference of the NMHL with hockey players "Progress" in the squad defeated the team of the West.

Glazov has been on the hockey map of the country for more than 60 years. In the upcoming 2017, the will of the organizers marked the northern capital of Udmurtia with a thicker dot. Here at the Glazov-Arena for the first time they held the "star match" of the NMHL - the league in which the local "Progress" plays. Officially - Generation Cup. And even if this event was inferior in importance and entourage to the “match of stars” of the KHL, taking place at the same time only 430 kilometers away, in Ufa, for Udmurt fans (far from only Glazov’s, there were also Izhstal fans on the podium) it came to the fore . Hockey celebration at the native arena with the participation of their favorites gathered full stands. Separate empty spaces do not count.

Meanwhile, if the tradition of holding such matches came to us from North America, then the principle of arranging a show from them was transferred only partially. Same here. The organizers did not plan to entertain the public with some near-hockey performances. We limited ourselves to a bright introduction in the form of a rental of the Progress mascot Wolf with the coveted cup in his hands and brief congratulatory speeches.

Unless the arrival in Glazov of the honored coach of the USSR and Russia Vladimir Yurzinov Sr. can be noted separately. Before the match, he held a kind of master class for young hockey players. As the legendary mentor admitted in an interview with journalists, he was in Glazov for the first time.

The participants of the match were tuned in all seriousness. Which is probably not surprising. At this age, 17-20 years old, any duel becomes a matter of principle. Especially when a tangible trophy is at stake.

From the first minutes on the ice, a stubborn struggle began, in which the hosts, the NMHL Eastern Conference team, looked better, fresher and more aggressive. And this fact even more turned on the already emotionally heated fans, since the application of the East team included four Progress hockey players - Artyom Musalimov, Georgy Tukaev, Fedor Vedernikov And Kirill Afanasiev. And, of course, everyone expected goals from their favorites. And they waited. But only in the third period. By that time, the game advantage of the East over the West was already overwhelming. And it resulted in three unanswered washers. The author of the 4th was the captain of the "wolves" Fyodor Vedernikov, and the 6th, the last in this match, was his partner Kirill Afanasiev. Hockey players of the West, in response, failed to hit the gates of the hosts. Thus, the East won a convincing victory with a score of 6:0.

Traktor played its first game at the Chelyabinsk Region Governor's Cup and lost to Avtomobilist in a very productive shootout match.

"Tractor"-"Motorist"-5:6 B (1:1, 1:3, 3:1, 0:0, 0:1)

1:1 Popov (Davydov, Osnovin), 04:26

2:1 Glovatsky (Mokin, Ruzicka), 22:09

2:2 Simakov (Loginov), 23:39

2:3 Dostoynov (Loginov, Elo), 24:22

2:4 Shemerov (Simakov), 36:59

5:5 Borodkin (Popov, Osnovin), 54:38

5:6 Koukal, 65:00, PB

Goalkeepers: Francoise (Demchenko) - Ustinsky

The updated "Tractor" appeared before the native audience in this form. In the first link, Chistov, Boldyuk and Yakutsenya entered the ice, in the center of the second, along with Glinkin and Popov, Osnovin appeared, in the third line of attack Mokin, Glovatsky and Ruzicka were announced, and the fourth trio looked like Sentyurin - Rybakov - Kokuev. Also in the application were Zinoviev and Korinevsky. It did not appear in the composition of Pestunov, Kruchinin and Penkovsky. The following pairs played in defense - Quint-Borodkin, Martynov-Davydov, Petrov-Khlystov, Shinin-Klimontov. The place at the gate was taken by the Czech rookie Pavel Francouz, Vasily Demchenko became his replacement.

The match was preceded by a traditional solemn opening ceremony, with a welcoming speech by the governor of the Chelyabinsk region. “We wish Traktor only victory,” Dubrovsky said. However, his words did not set the team on a winning footing. In the first minute of the meeting, Artem Borodkin went to the penalty box, and the Finnish legionnaire of Avtomobilist Ero Elo converted the majority - 0:1. However, "Tractor" quickly moved the game to the opposite goal, and Andrey Popov put his stick under the throw of Vyacheslav Osnovin - 1:1! Chelyabinsk immediately got the opportunity to play "5 on 4", but the opponent's goalkeeper Igor Ustinsky failed to score again. Further, the teams ended up "4 on 4" due to the sending off of Oleksandr Boldyuk and Ero Elo, who were separated by a few seconds. Further, Traktor had great opportunities, but Oleksandr Boldyuk and Martin Ruzicka could not realize them. At the end of the period, the Avtomobilist player got 2+10 for an attack to the head, but the team failed to take another majority.

But for the second period, Traktor came out with a great desire to score a goal and soon took the lead in the score. After Martin Ruzicka successfully rolled out from behind the gate, the puck was corrected by Anton Glovatsky - 2:1! But almost immediately Alexey Simakov returned equality, and Alexey Dostoynov even brought the guests ahead - 3:2. Then the teams played once in the majority, Traktor again had Boldyuk on the penalty box. And closer to the second break, the neighbors from Yekaterinburg only strengthened their position more strongly, when defender Alexander Shchemerov scored from the blue line - 4:2.

Traktor started the third twenty-minute period in the majority, which they again failed to convert. But the next two penalty minutes of the opponent still benefited Andrei Nikolishin's wards: Egor Martynov returned the intrigue to this match - 3:4! However, Anatoly Golyshev immediately returns everything to normal - 5:3, taking advantage of the terrible game of the Chelyabinsk defenders. However, Traktor went on a power play and Vyacheslav Osnovin, with Glinkin's and Popov's passes, again reduced the gap to a minimum - 4:5. This was followed by a whole scattering of violations and the removal of Alexander Boldyuk until the end of the match. Although it all went to Traktor's benefit, and Artem Borodkin finally established equality - 5:5! At the end of the third period, Maksim Yakutsenya left the team in the minority, however, Traktor survived, and it came to overtime. In extra time, the Chelyabinsk hockey players missed just one hundred percent chances to score, so the game ended in shootouts. In a series of post-match shots, the only successful attempt was on the account of the Czech forward of Avtomobilist Petr Koukal. Although Vasily Demchenko played very well in shootouts.

Traktor will play the second game of the tournament against Metallurg Magnitogorsk, which previously lost to Avangard 3:4. In the afternoon meeting, Avtomobilist will play with the Omsk club.

Especially for the Traktor Fan Club

You must have seen the most powerful light show, which the Chicago Blackhawks hockey club arranged in October for the start of the new NHL season. Three minutes of technological frenzy was going on on the ice, which then spread all over the Internet with headlines like "A pre-match show you won't forget." At that time, few noticed the main thing: the entire project in the NHL was handled by the Russian studio Radugadesign, which is based on the territory of Winzavod and employs about 30 people.

In 2004, Radugadesign founder Ivan Nefyodkin, still a student and interior designer at one of the architectural studios, came across a video about holograms from the Danish company Vizoo. Interested in the technology, he and a friend wrote to the Danes that they wanted to represent their company in Russia. They did not answer him - not on the first, not on the second, not even on the third attempt.

Despite the silence, three years later, at the end of 2007 - the beginning of 2008, Nefedkin knocked on Vizoo again. By that time, he opened his own studio, which was engaged in interiors, graphic and web design.

“Suddenly, a very cheerful answer came: come on, who are you, what are you? - Nefedkin recalls in a conversation with Sport Connect. - They asked how many people work for us, what we do. We successfully told that we have a very serious studio, and after a meeting in Denmark, they entrusted us with the first client in Russia: it was an installation at the Nissan booth. This is how we became representatives of Vizoo in Russia. During 2008, when there was an economic crisis, we tried to sell technology to everyone possible - with it you could go through any door, show and tell. At that moment, everyone wanted her, but no one had the money.

Gradually, we realized that dealing only with this product is not a panacea. Due to my experience in interior design and environmental design, we began to offer more sophisticated solutions for event decoration. More and more projections were used, video mapping became popular. In 2009 we made our first car projection at Volvo Fashion Week. It was the presentation of the Volvo C30 Yudashkin edition.”

Now the client pool of the Radugadesign studio includes the largest Russian companies (RZD, Gazprom, Rosneft, Sberbank), and car manufacturers (Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Audi), and sports clubs and leagues, and many others.

Ivan Nefedkin

“Over time, we more and more went into the multimedia design of events,” continues Nefedkin. - Now we come to the site and offer: here you can use projections, here - LED, here - multi-touch. This is how the cross section of our services was formed on the combination of space, technology and design. We do not deal exclusively with projection installations, or only interactive, or only VR. We always have different solutions depending on the task - we are a media design studio and involve different specialists in the work.

- When did you start sports projects?

- In 2011. Even when we first started doing projection shows, I really wanted to work with ice. I've been since childhood hockey fan and always understood that ice is what you need, especially since the projection in a closed room does not look alien. We made the first project for a children's hockey KHL tournament in Omsk. We tried to combine it with people and Free Format screens, which were additionally hung on the net behind the goal.

After this project, Radugadesign was noticed by Ilya Averbukh. He ordered the studio to complete the projection design of the show "The Year before the Games", which took place exactly one year before the start of the Olympics - including the countdown to the opening ceremony. This and the subsequent Olympic show ("The Year After the Games") became the most difficult sports projects in the history of the studio.

– It was important to make the show just for the cameras, because it was broadcast on Channel One almost every live. The duration is almost an hour, an impressive amount of content, work on stage design, daily work with the director's team and technical services - and all this still needs to be tied into one complex story ... A large number of introductory complicates everything, and in the same project with "Chicago" we worked only with content.

Special advantage to the side sports topics have us formed only in the last year.In 2016, we took part in the design of the Bandy World Championship, made a multimedia design for the World Bandy Championship in Moscow, prepared a video for Peter, which was shown before each match, and made three shows for tennis tournaments together with the production center "Fulfill dreams". We prepared three projects in the USA: the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the NHL History Museum.

- What is the peculiarity of working on sports shows?

- In the regulations. I'll tell you with an example hockey championship peace. The players should warm up on the court, and then go to the locker room for about 20 minutes, while the match should start immediately after the show. You have no opportunity to put anything on the ice - no scenery. Everything should appear and disappear in the same way - there are no buildings, everything is suspended, mobile. This introduces its own difficulties, because we can only build a show around such elements as a car that left, transformed into a hockey player, then packed up and left.

Another difference is scale. Apart from more technology, many people participate in sports ceremonies. It is necessary that everyone exits at the same time and everything starts synchronously.

- How long does a show like for Chicago take?

– Clean work – from concept confirmation to delivery – takes one and a half to two months, before that, we coordinated the concepts and worked on the preliminary stages for another month or two.

At the start, we proposed 2-3 concepts, they said that one definitely needs to be removed, because it concerned the Indians, and they are very reverent about this topic there. Determined that the theme of the story is needed.

– What does development usually look like: do they come to you with a request to “make it beautiful” or do they set specific conditions?

- Always different. Some people know what they want and some don't. For example, "Chicago" did not know, and the representatives of the club immediately said: offer us options. With the Ice Hockey World Championship, everything is different: there were clear introductions about the sport of the future, a red car, and so on down the list.

Sometimes inputs are contradictory. Often decisions are made by several people - and when you coordinate something with a manager, agency or a person from a customer, this is not always the final opinion. Sometimes the brief can change several times. In this regard, the project with Chicago is different from the rest, because we ourselves formed the brief and made the offer. So the deal went quickly.

How many people are involved in one project?

- Producer creative director, art director, team of artists (depending on the tasks, different specialists are selected - a concept artist, a 3D modeler, and so on), a composer. We write music for almost all projects ourselves, so we work with several composers. We try to do everything on our own.

- What are your requirements for stadiums?

- Ideal for the show - full blackout. There are very few tools for showing during the day, but in the evening and at night we have more opportunities to use light, projections, additional screens.

The second is, of course, sports light. Now new stadiums are starting to be made with LED lamps that can turn on and off instantly - they do not need to warm up for a long time, and this allows you to turn on the projection, then the light. All new stadiums, in a good way, should be made with such light. This is how Juventus football already works: at its stadium, the light show is done on the same light that is used to illuminate the field.

Show for the Chicago Blackhawks

- Have clubs already come to you who wanted a show, but understood that they did not have such equipment?

- Certainly. A lot of sites are still working with ordinary light. This is new. In Europe, they began to install it just a couple of years ago; in Russia, not a single football stadium works with such light. We talked with Zenit, and they still do not have a certainty whether there will be such a light or not, at the Otkritie Arena the light is not LED. Such light is, of course, expensive, and still do not fully understand the new possibilities. Juventus are now leading by example football stadiums, a few more arenas will be updated soon.

– What is the problem with standard light?

- The problem is related to time - you need to wait until the moment when the light flares up to a certain level. You can't just turn it off and on again for the show - you have to wait for the lights to come on. In 2011, we turned off the lights for the duration of the show, then there was a presentation of the teams - gradually the light turned on and smoothly flared up, gradually covering the projection with itself, overexposing it. And then the match started. Of course, it is interesting to switch instantly: one-another, one-another. Chicago just has such a light, and there everything abruptly turns off and on when necessary.

- Sports are more profitable for you than ordinary events?

- I wouldn't say that. In terms of the cost of work, sports and non-sporting events do not differ much, the only thing is that they are more voluminous, require more work, and, accordingly, may cost more. It all depends on the timing and complexity of the show, but a good show will cost from $50,000.

- And the maximum?

- It all depends on the desires. There are shows that last two minutes, simple ones. There are those who want to do for an hour. There are a lot of components: technical, content, whether additional work is needed.

To enter the American market, Radugadesign wrote to several NHL clubs and openly offered their services - the Chicago Blackhawks were the fastest to contact. The success of the debut show gave the studio new orders: projects with basketball club Chicago Bulls and an interactive museum of NHL history, and in the near future, a show for the start of the NHL playoffs for St. Louis may be prepared. In Russia, the show with "Chicago" brought the studio the Event.ru award in the "Event of the Year" nomination.

- Why did Chicago choose you?

- Probably because we had a good value for money (including because of the dollar exchange rate - approx. Sport Connect). The manager of "Chicago", who runs these shows, believed in our perseverance, he liked our ideas. We gave quite detailed proposals, it was clear that we want to do something worthwhile. We made presentations with complete descriptions, pictures - in general, we made them want to work with us.

- How was the work organized? Have you ever flown to the US?

- No, we mostly corresponded by mail, talked on Skype, there were meetings of our representative in the USA before signing the contract.

- The video of this show has spread all over the Internet, it has been watched several times more than all your other shows. Did it bring in new customers?

– Yes, a lot of inquiries came at once sports theme. Many people asked about hockey, but not all hockey clubs can financially afford the show we do. There were requests in the style of "We want to do for 300 thousand." But we cannot meet this amount. These clubs, as they worked with a couple of freelancers, will probably continue to work. If you do something thoughtful and more complex, then in any case it requires the work of a large team - accordingly, the cost of projects is higher.

Light is not such a problem, a big problem, probably, concerns projection equipment. Only a few clubs put it on an ongoing basis, even in the KHL, they can be counted on the fingers. One of these teams is Barys, they have projectors, they bought them for themselves. Renting such equipment is also expensive. Probably, the cost is the main reason why not everyone does it (a one-day rental of projectors for a powerful show, like Chicago, will cost more than 600 thousand rubles, a full-fledged purchase - more than 50 million rubles - approx. Sport Connect).

- So now it’s easier for you to work in America?

– No, we can work here, I would not say that it is easier there. It's just that the budget here is smaller than there. In the USA, the budgets for the show are completely different.

What did you do for the NHL Museum and the Chicago Bulls?

- By the way, the NHL is just the project that came to us after the story with the Chicago Blackhawks. The agency that organized the NHL traveling museum saw our project, and there was a chain reaction. We received the script and made one of the installations - a round LED table, which very briefly shows the 100-year history of the NHL. The museum has a lot of different installations and content, our project is only a part of it.

For the Chicago Bulls, we made content for the halftime show - roughly speaking, a background design for a star or group that performs in the center of the site. This is not a single show, but a kind of constructor of videos that can be mixed with each other, you can change the inscriptions. The videos are made in different intensities, they can be selected for specific musicians in a special library that we have created.

– It is interesting to work with sports shows. Not at the opening ceremony or before the match, but with a sports show like the KHL All-Star Game. We see what we could bring new. It is also interesting to integrate technology and multimedia design into the sport itself. What limits us is not always a question of money, but a question of the conservatism of a sport that is not ready for such quick transitions.

Are you talking about regulations?

- Yes, I'm talking about the fact that the problem is rather in the regulations, but since all the regulations depend on people, sooner or later changes await us. The future is in the spectacle of sports. In the future we will be able to see more and more changes aimed at the “picture”, both in the broadcast and at the stadium itself. Some sports, of course, will remain classic, but there will be other impressive offshoots.
