“Kommersant” asked its readers what the Russian national football team can expect. Sergei Yuran, Soviet and Russian football player, coach

There are exactly one hundred days left until the World Cup. It is expected that about two million foreign fans will come to Russia for the tournament. The ticket lottery has already been completed, but starting next week tickets will go on sale for free, reports MIR 24 sports columnist Dmitry Kalugin.

World football stars and Russian President Vladimir Putin began the countdown to the World Cup. The ball was collectively scored up to a hundred times by legendary players - Ronaldo, Trezeguet, Alenichev, Maradona and many others. The final blow is for Putin.

More than five million applications have been submitted for World Cup tickets. True, there are significantly fewer physical places.

This is how we cheered at the Confederations Cup. This coming summer, a similar picture will be observed in 11 Russian cities. Moreover, not only fans of countries that made it to the tournament go to the World Cup. Applications are coming in large numbers from China, the USA and Holland. However, the majority of seats in the stands will be occupied by Russians - they account for 55% of requests for tickets.

“We have worked for many years to make the tournament truly exciting. So that the fans feel comfortable here, and Russia becomes a home for the guests. And almost everything is ready for this,” said Alexey Sorokin, director of the Russia-2018 organizing committee.

It is of greatest interest to foreign fans. In the ranking of early bookings of hotels and accommodation, the “northern capital” ranks first. Fans are willing to stay there for six days and pay about four thousand rubles a day.

The main thing that those wishing to enter the arena need to remember is their fan ID. This is the main document of the World Cup. You can't get into the stadium without it, even if you have a ticket. To receive it, you just need to fill out an online application. It is advisable to do this immediately after purchasing a ticket for the match.

A fan passport also entitles you to free rail travel between World Cup cities. Some airlines also provide discounts upon presentation of a document. Naturally, only for those matches for which you have tickets. To do this, you also need to register on a separate website.

For foreigners, a fan passport also replaces a tourist visa to Russia. With this football document you can enter the country ten days before the World Cup and leave ten days after its completion. However, it is worth remembering that you will need a fan passport when leaving Russia.

The leaders among those wishing to attend the World Cup are fans from Peru. Their country qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 36 years. This event is celebrated even in women's colonies. The prisoners make their own copies of the mascot of the upcoming tournament. The cost of the Peruvian brother of the wolf Zabivaki is 7.5 euros. Most local fans will travel to Russia in his company.

The World Championship starts on June 14 at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium. The opening match will feature the teams of Russia and Saudi Arabia.

MOSCOW, January 30 — R-Sport, Alexander Rogulev. On Monday football Russia marks a round number - 500 days before the start of the 2018 World Cup, which will be held in 11 cities of our country from June 14 to July 15 next year. "R-Sport" talks about what surrounds preparation for the main event football tournament four years.

The gap in stadiums is only in Samara

In almost all regions, preparations for the World Cup are in full swing. Every month the stadiums are beginning to resemble more and more what was shown in the pictures during the presentation of the projects. If you don’t take into account the stadium on Krestovsky Island in St. Petersburg, where every day news appears about completion, restructuring, low-quality materials, leaks or something else, then the information background of other construction projects is positive.

For example, Kazan. There are 500 days until the World Cup, six months until the Confederations Cup, but work is already underway on the construction of temporary structures on the territory of the Kazan Arena stadium. “The standard condition of the field is now being maintained for its further awakening and maintenance until the Confederations Cup,” Vladimir Leonov, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, told R-Sport. “Currently, the construction of temporary infrastructure has begun on the territory adjacent to the stadium.”

Last week, the head of the Russia 2018 organizing committee, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation for Sports, Vitaly Mutko, came to Nizhny Novgorod, where he inspected the facilities of the future championship. Among other things, he said that only the stadium in Samara is behind schedule. The point, according to Mutko, is due to planning errors, but in a month and a half everything should be on schedule.

“2017 is a special year for each of the host cities of the World Cup,” Governor of the Samara Region Nikolai Merkushkin told R-Sport. “We have very little time left - 500 days. And each of them should be spent usefully. We “We have to complete the construction of all the necessary infrastructure, put the city in order, and this needs to be done by the end of 2017.”

"Team football players at the opening of all stadiums"

If in Samara in 2017 it is necessary to build a stadium, roads, training facilities, and grounds, then in a couple of regions everything is almost ready. We are talking about Kazan and Sochi, which have recently hosted major tournaments. In Yekaterinburg, efforts are being devoted to the stadium and the entrance to it, as well as to the reconstruction of the Mayakovsky Central Park of Culture and Culture, which will become a fan zone during the World Cup.

For a whole year, the main headache in Kaliningrad was the stadium: local authorities fought with federal authorities over the place on which to build. Oktyabrsky Island was defended, the capacity was reduced to 35 thousand and construction began. I must say - at an incredibly fast pace. After this, the problem of the region became the airport, which has been under renovation for several years now. Only in last month the problem began to be solved.

“The other day there was a meeting with the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency,” Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region Alexander Rolbinov told the R-Sport agency. “Today we can say with confidence that the issue has been resolved regarding the reconstruction of the runway. A new contractor is coming out.” to the site. The schedules that are presented and the forces that the contracting organization has at its disposal provide guarantees that the contract will be completed on time.”

The increasingly pressing question is not when stadiums will be delivered, but how they will be opened. Naturally, all regions want to open the arena with a match of the Russian national team. But there won’t be enough football players for Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Kaliningrad at once, not to mention Luzhniki - the main arena of the World Cup. “Of course, there won’t be enough national team players for all the cities,” agrees Russia 2018 general director Alexei Sorokin. “If possible, we will make do with local clubs.”

Threat of transfer

The closer the World Cup gets, the more reports appear about its possible postponement. And the point is not so much in Russia’s unwillingness to host the World Cup, but in doping scandals around Russian sports. Despite the fact that a direct connection between the two things is difficult to trace, international organizations, and first of all WADA, regularly remind us of this possibility through the media. “I don’t feel any tension, there’s no anxiety,” Sorokin reassures. “We are not discussing these issues with FIFA. All assurances have been given, and there is no point in returning to them.”

“From a legal point of view, they (WADA) can get this opportunity easily,” sports lawyer Artem Patsev said in November. “This just requires amendments to the world anti-doping code. All members of the Olympic movement are obliged to comply with the requirements of this code. Actually, in This is his idea. The paper will endure everything, you can transfer any powers to anyone. Will this help the purity of the sport and its purification? In my opinion, this will only worsen the situation. “But I admit that the World Championship can be taken away.”

According to the former head of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Richard Pound, the way to deprive Russia of the World Cup could be as follows: a number of countries will announce a boycott of the World Cup, and FIFA will be forced to postpone it. However, to date, no one, with the exception of organizations such as NADOs (National Anti-Doping Agencies), has announced the reality of a boycott of the 2018 World Cup.

According to the Russian side, the tournament, on the contrary, could become an impetus for the return of Russian sports to the “international family.” “This is a chance for us to open the country to the world,” says Mutko. “We expect that a million fans will come to us. We want this project to leave a huge tangible and intangible legacy. I want this date - 500 days before the World Cup - to pass under the sign of creation, so that the world will recognize Russia, about which there are now many cliches."

The World Cup draw will take place in the Kremlin

Just a couple of years ago, news about the World Cup appeared once a month or less. But the closer we get to the tournament, the more often, almost every week, events of the organizing committee are held in Moscow and other cities of the 2018 World Cup. Many of them are on a grand scale. What does it cost, for example, to draw lots? qualifying tournament World Championship, held in the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg. The top representatives of world football gathered in the city, and a separate building made of temporary structures was built on the territory of the residence especially for the draw.

The main draw for the 2018 World Cup, which will take place not just anywhere but in the Kremlin, will be no less pompous. It is symbolic that the event is scheduled for December 1 - the day before Russia celebrates the 7th anniversary of preparation for the tournament. “Of course, organizing any event inside the Kremlin is more difficult than organizing it at any other facility in the city,” says Sorokin. “We have secured the consent of all authorized bodies, received all permits. Fortunately, we don’t need to build anything like this It was in Konstantinovsky."

Over the past couple of years, the 2018 World Cup has acquired a variety of tournament ambassadors and simply famous people from the world of culture and sports, creating the image of the country abroad. Everyone remembers top model Natalia Vodianova, who managed to change three dresses during the preliminary draw for the World Cup in St. Petersburg. The ambassadors of the tournament at different times were hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, synchronized swimmer Natalya Ishchenko, cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko and even famous singer Nyusha, who will represent Kazan.

“The World Cup is a grandiose event in the life of every country,” Nyusha told R-Sport. “Like millions of Russians, I sincerely hope that it will become an impetus for the development of football in our country, making it a sport that will bring Russia new victories. I will definitely root for the Russian team. But I haven’t decided on the other favorites yet: the Confederations Cup will help me understand who I will worry about and who I will support in the stands.”

I haven't won since last fall. And I played a match without conceding goals a year ago. Against New Zealand. Don't take the friendly match with Dynamo seriously...

And the series of defeats dragged on. The justification could be the level of the opponents - Argentines, Spaniards, Brazilians, French. But the other day there were Austrians...

A week and a half before the World Cup, our team accumulated a heavy clot of negative energy around itself.

We walked to the stadium in a crowd of fans. Against the backdrop of failures, in an atmosphere of criticism, and sometimes hatred, which permeates comments on all sports resources. I wanted to understand what makes people still go to the arena, waste their evening, their nerves and their money.

We asked the same questions to different categories of viewers. They asked about the attitude towards the national team and Cherchesov personally - from children, from young student fans, from mature men. Even the granny who lives next door. They chose different words, but the essence is the same. And it is classic: In Russia and in its main team you can only believe. But it’s impossible not to believe.

There probably couldn’t have been any other answers. After all, those who think otherwise stayed at home on this cool evening.

I admire the enthusiasm of the fans who are eager to get to the stadium! Everything here is civilized, I don’t feel any negativity! I'm running to the store. I’ll take it and... I’ll watch the match on TV,” a local resident, a dandelion in a headscarf, said with anticipation.

- What makes you still root for the Russian national team, which has not pleased you with either its play or results for a long time?

Pride. Pride in your country! - answers Muscovite and Spartak member Viktor, who works in the transport sector.

- But they almost only lose the year...

But I still hope for the best! And that victories will still come.

- Many people criticize Stanislav Cherchesov. How do you feel about him?

Yes, a normal coach. I'm not going to criticize him. Let's improve the game and perform well at the World Championships!

- How exactly?

Second place in the group will be ours. I'll go to the matches. I'm going to the opening too.

- What brings you to the stadium against the backdrop of a series of failures? - question to student Alexander.

It's just interesting! And there is still hope that everything will be much better than it is now.

- But at what expense?

By chance! - the student laughs - And I urge everyone else to believe. What else remains?

- Does anything or anyone give you optimism?

Youth. Kutepov, Miranchuk, Golovin. This is obvious. Dzagoev is fine now.

- How do you like Cherchesov?

I treat him well. Still, this is a man with a capital letter.
