Excerpt characterizing Djordjevic, Luka

“If he is a noble man, then he must either declare his intention or stop seeing you; and if you don’t want to do this, then I will do it, I will write to him, I will tell dad,” Sonya said decisively.
- Yes, I can’t live without him! - Natasha screamed.
- Natasha, I don’t understand you. And what are you saying! Remember your father, Nicolas.
“I don’t need anyone, I don’t love anyone but him.” How dare you say that he is ignoble? Don't you know that I love him? – Natasha shouted. “Sonya, go away, I don’t want to quarrel with you, go away, for God’s sake go away: you see how I’m suffering,” Natasha shouted angrily in a restrained, irritated and desperate voice. Sonya burst into tears and ran out of the room.
Natasha went to the table and, without thinking for a minute, wrote that answer to Princess Marya, which she could not write the whole morning. In this letter, she briefly wrote to Princess Marya that all their misunderstandings were over, that, taking advantage of the generosity of Prince Andrey, who, when leaving, gave her freedom, she asks her to forget everything and forgive her if she is guilty before her, but that she cannot be his wife . It all seemed so easy, simple and clear to her at that moment.

On Friday the Rostovs were supposed to go to the village, and on Wednesday the count went with the buyer to his village near Moscow.
On the day of the count's departure, Sonya and Natasha were invited to a big dinner with the Karagins, and Marya Dmitrievna took them. At this dinner, Natasha again met with Anatole, and Sonya noticed that Natasha was saying something to him, wanting not to be heard, and throughout the dinner she was even more excited than before. When they returned home, Natasha was the first to begin with Sonya the explanation that her friend was waiting for.
“You, Sonya, said all sorts of stupid things about him,” Natasha began in a meek voice, the voice that children use when they want to be praised. - We explained it to him today.
- Well, what, what? Well, what did he say? Natasha, how glad I am that you are not angry with me. Tell me everything, the whole truth. What did he say?
Natasha thought about it.
- Oh Sonya, if only you knew him like I do! He said... He asked me about how I promised Bolkonsky. He was glad that it was up to me to refuse him.
Sonya sighed sadly.
“But you didn’t refuse Bolkonsky,” she said.
- Or maybe I refused! Maybe it's all over with Bolkonsky. Why do you think so badly of me?
- I don’t think anything, I just don’t understand it...
- Wait, Sonya, you will understand everything. You will see what kind of person he is. Don't think bad things about me or him.
– I don’t think anything bad about anyone: I love everyone and feel sorry for everyone. But what should I do?
Sonya did not give in to the gentle tone with which Natasha addressed her. The softer and more searching the expression on Natasha’s face was, the more serious and stern Sonya’s face was.
“Natasha,” she said, “you asked me not to talk to you, I didn’t, now you started it yourself.” Natasha, I don't believe him. Why this secret?
- Again, again! – Natasha interrupted.
– Natasha, I’m afraid for you.
- What to be afraid of?
“I’m afraid that you will destroy yourself,” Sonya said decisively, herself frightened by what she said.
Natasha's face again expressed anger.
“And I will destroy, I will destroy, I will destroy myself as quickly as possible.” None of your business. It will feel bad not for you, but for me. Leave me, leave me. I hate you.
- Natasha! – Sonya cried out in fear.
- I hate it, I hate it! And you are my enemy forever!
Natasha ran out of the room.
Natasha no longer spoke to Sonya and avoided her. With the same expression of excited surprise and criminality, she walked around the rooms, taking up first this or that activity and immediately abandoning them.
No matter how hard it was for Sonya, she kept an eye on her friend.
On the eve of the day on which the count was supposed to return, Sonya noticed that Natasha had been sitting all morning at the living room window, as if expecting something, and that she made some kind of sign to a passing military man, whom Sonya mistook for Anatole.
Sonya began to observe her friend even more carefully and noticed that Natasha was in a strange and unnatural state all the time during lunch and evening (she answered questions asked to her at random, started and did not finish sentences, laughed at everything).
After tea, Sonya saw a timid girl's maid waiting for her at Natasha's door. She let her through and, listening at the door, learned that a letter had been delivered again. And suddenly it became clear to Sonya that Natasha had some kind of terrible plan for this evening. Sonya knocked on her door. Natasha didn't let her in.
“She'll run away with him! thought Sonya. She is capable of anything. Today there was something especially pitiful and determined in her face. She cried, saying goodbye to her uncle, Sonya recalled. Yes, it’s true, she’s running with him, but what should I do?” thought Sonya, now recalling those signs that clearly proved why Natasha had some terrible intention. “There is no count. What should I do, write to Kuragin, demanding an explanation from him? But who tells him to answer? Write to Pierre, as Prince Andrei asked, in case of an accident?... But maybe, in fact, she has already refused Bolkonsky (she sent a letter to Princess Marya yesterday). There’s no uncle!” It seemed terrible to Sonya to tell Marya Dmitrievna, who believed so much in Natasha. “But one way or another,” Sonya thought, standing in the dark corridor: now or never the time has come to prove that I remember the benefits of their family and love Nicolas. No, even if I don’t sleep for three nights, I won’t leave this corridor and forcefully let her in, and I won’t let shame fall on their family,” she thought.

Anatole recently moved in with Dolokhov. The plan to kidnap Rostova had been thought out and prepared by Dolokhov for several days, and on the day when Sonya, having overheard Natasha at the door, decided to protect her, this plan had to be carried out. Natasha promised to go out to Kuragin’s back porch at ten o’clock in the evening. Kuragin had to put her in a prepared troika and take her 60 versts from Moscow to the village of Kamenka, where a disrobed priest was prepared who was supposed to marry them. In Kamenka, a setup was ready that was supposed to take them to the Warsaw road and there they were supposed to ride abroad on postal ones.
Anatole had a passport, and a travel document, and ten thousand money taken from his sister, and ten thousand borrowed through Dolokhov.
Two witnesses - Khvostikov, a former clerk, whom Dolokhov used for games, and Makarin, a retired hussar, a good-natured and weak man who had boundless love for Kuragin - were sitting in the first room having tea.
In Dolokhov’s large office, decorated from walls to ceiling with Persian carpets, bear skins and weapons, Dolokhov sat in a traveling beshmet and boots in front of an open bureau, on which lay abacus and stacks of money. Anatole, in an unbuttoned uniform, walked from the room where the witnesses were sitting, through the office into the back room, where his French footman and others were packing the last things. Dolokhov counted the money and wrote it down.
“Well,” he said, “Khvostikov needs to be given two thousand.”
“Well, give it to me,” said Anatole.
– Makarka (that’s what they called Makarina), this one will selflessly go through fire and water for you. Well, the score is over,” said Dolokhov, showing him the note. - So?
“Yes, of course, so,” said Anatole, apparently not listening to Dolokhov and with a smile that never left his face, looking ahead of him.
Dolokhov slammed the bureau and turned to Anatoly with a mocking smile.
– You know what, give it all up: there’s still time! - he said.
- Fool! - said Anatole. - Stop talking nonsense. If only you knew... The devil knows what it is!
“Come on,” said Dolokhov. - I'm telling you the truth. Is this a joke you're starting?
- Well, again, teasing again? Go to hell! Eh?...” Anatole said with a wince. - Really, I have no time for your stupid jokes. - And he left the room.
Dolokhov smiled contemptuously and condescendingly when Anatole left.
“Wait,” he said after Anatoly, “I’m not joking, I mean business, come, come here.”
Anatole entered the room again and, trying to concentrate his attention, looked at Dolokhov, obviously involuntarily submitting to him.
- Listen to me, I will tell you last time I say. Why should I joke with you? Did I contradict you? Who arranged everything for you, who found the priest, who took the passport, who got the money? All me.
- Well, thank you. Do you think I'm not grateful to you? – Anatol sighed and hugged Dolokhov.
“I helped you, but I still have to tell you the truth: it’s a dangerous matter and, if you look at it, stupid.” Well, you take her away, okay. Will they leave it like this? It turns out that you are married. After all, they will bring you to criminal court...
- Ah! nonsense, nonsense! – Anatole spoke again, wincing. - After all, I explained it to you. A? - And Anatole, with that special passion (which stupid people have) for the conclusion that they reach with their minds, repeated the reasoning that he repeated to Dolokhov a hundred times. “After all, I explained to you, I decided: if this marriage is invalid,” he said, bending his finger, “then I don’t answer; Well, if it’s real, it doesn’t matter: no one abroad will know this, right? And don't talk, don't talk, don't talk!
- Really, come on! You will only tie yourself...
“Get to hell,” said Anatole and, holding his hair, he went into another room and immediately returned and sat down with his feet on a chair close to Dolokhov. - The devil knows what it is! A? Look how it beats! “He took Dolokhov’s hand and put it to his heart. - Ah! quel pied, mon cher, quel regard! Undeesse!! [ABOUT! What a leg, my friend, what a look! Goddess!!] Huh?
Dolokhov, smiling coldly and shining with his beautiful, insolent eyes, looked at him, apparently wanting to have more fun with him.
- Well, the money will come out, then what?
- Then what? A? – Anatole repeated with sincere bewilderment at the thought of the future. - Then what? I don’t know what’s there... Well, what nonsense to talk about! – He looked at his watch. - It's time!
Anatole went into the back room.
- Well, will you be there soon? Digging around here! - he shouted at the servants.
Dolokhov removed the money and, shouting to the man to order food and drink for the road, he entered the room where Khvostikov and Makarin were sitting.

The Montenegrin rookie of Zenit blew up the information space, firing at all the opponent's goal posts in his first match for the main team. We bring to your attention the first radio interview of Luka Djordjevic in Russia, from which you will find out which clubs Zenit can play on equal terms with, how an ordinary football player differs from Usain Bolt, and to whom the youngest player in the St. Petersburg starting lineup will dedicate his first goal for Zenit.

Luka, you found out that you will play against Anzhi in starting lineup, ten minutes before departure from the hotel. Were you surprised? Or did you guess that the chances of appearing in the team were great?

– Many of our players are injured now. I hoped that I would play in this match, but Zenit has a lot of great players, and, of course, I couldn’t be sure of anything. But the coach gave me a chance, and I tried to use it as best I could.

Do you understand that, having played well in Makhachkala, you have raised the bar of expectations for yourself so high that now you cannot afford to play worse than in the match with Anzhi?

– Thank you for the nice words. But in that match the whole team played great. We just weren't very lucky. I had my moments, but the hosts were luckier. That's why we played a draw.

Did Joao Carlos hit you on the leg, or were you diving that unskillfully?

Difficult question! There really was contact, but it was small, nothing special. The judge made the right decision.

– It’s painful to hear this - I lived for two days in full confidence that there was an absolute penalty! Your calm attitude towards the fact that the penalty kick was not awarded, but you were shown a card - is this a school thing or a character trait?

When I fell, I immediately saw that the judge was going to show me a card. I was probably wrong, and it would have been better for the team if I had tried to run further after the ball.

– In general, what impression did Vladimir Kazmenko’s refereeing make on you? In St. Petersburg, through our swamp prism, it seemed that it was too much allowed to hit Zenit players in the legs.

– The Russian judging system is new to me. In Montenegro they judge things a little differently. After all, there are a lot more stars playing in Russia, a lot more aggression and fighting on the field. As for this particular referee, I think he didn’t make any serious mistakes, but I also can’t say that he showed himself particularly well.

(listener question): Is it true that you don’t have a car and you get around the city by subway? How do you like our metro? Are you already recognized in the city?

– I don’t have a car, and if I need to get somewhere, I take the metro. I was recognized several times and asked to take a photo. I think this is completely normal. There is only one team in St. Petersburg, it means a lot to the city, and its popularity is absolutely justified.

It is believed that St. Petersburg has one of the most beautiful metro stations in the world. Did you like it?

– In St. Petersburg, I went down to the metro for the first time in my life. Therefore, to compare, I need to visit at least one more subway!

Did anyone take pictures with you in Budva?

- Not yet. But I will come to Montenegro in early September for national team matches, and perhaps then we can expect this.

Will you play for the U-19 team or the main team?

– I don’t know yet, but obviously for one of these two teams.

(listener question): Do you have any preference in the Champions League?

– It would be nice not to get to Barcelona or Real. We can play on equal terms with all other teams.

(listener question): What position are you most comfortable playing? What are your personal preferences?

– I can play in attack both in the center, and on the left, and on the right. This is good for me because if I could only play on the right, then it is quite obvious that I would have been on the bench when Danny returned to action. What I can close is different

1st position, gives me more chances to get into the squad.

How about playing behind a striker?

– I’ve never tried it. Maybe I can play this position, I just don’t know.

What is your working leg?

That sounded a little presumptuous!

- Well, right leg, maybe designed a little better. But I also work a lot on my left leg and, in general, they are almost equal.

– It could have been better.

– Of course, in order to meet the level at which Zenit performs, I need to improve my physical condition. I'm working on it, spending a lot of time in gym, I do others special exercises. I think I have no problems handling the ball on the field, but I need to get stronger and more resilient. I am confident that our coaching staff will help me improve.

How much weight do you bench press?

– 60 kilograms.

Luka, don't lie!

– Come to the base, see for yourself.

It’s just that during the match with Anzhi, it was scary for you every time you got close to Christopher Samba. Firstly, what were you experiencing at that moment? And secondly, will you actually gain mass? Do you drink protein shakes?

– Every time I approached Samba, I no longer saw the setting sun over the stadium, because it was hidden behind his head. Indeed, Samba is big and strong, and generally a good player, but we had our own methods against such defenders. We kept the ball low and tried to avoid high shots. As for muscle mass, I don’t drink anything yet, but if the doctors say I need to, then I will.

At what level is your Russian language learning now?

- So far at the lowest. Naturally, I need to teach him, and I will do this; Moreover, Russian is similar to my native language. I already know some basic words. I hope in the future I will be able to speak freely.

Do you have any favorite places in St. Petersburg?

-I saw the bridges being raised - it was an amazing sight. And your restaurants are good. St. Petersburg is a wonderful city, and I really like it here.

– In summer, the most popular resort in Montenegro is mine hometown Budva. Many tourists come to us. There is plenty of entertainment and great sunny weather. The Bay of Boka Kotorska is also very beautiful, but it’s worth going to the sea only in summer. And in winter it is better to visit the north of Montenegro, there are also many beautiful places there.

(listener question): Will it hurt? strength exercises your plastic?

– Theoretically, a negative effect cannot be ruled out, for example, you can lose a little speed. But I am confident in the professionalism of our coaching staff– they know what and how to do.

How long does it take you to run a hundred meters?

– I don’t know, I’m just a football player, not Usain Bolt!

Well, fast or medium?

– I don’t know what to answer. Perhaps this topic is more convenient for you to discuss than for me.

This is the answer of an adult football player! Luka, how long is your contract with Zenit?

- Three years.

You were on trial at PSV. It is known that the sports director of Mogren regretted that at that time you had not reached the age when you could enter into a professional contract. What are your impressions?

– Yes, I was at PSV for some time. The club was pleased with my work, I performed well in training. Probably, if I was over 18 years old then, I would have moved there. But now, looking back, I realize that I accepted the right decision, moving to Zenit upon reaching adulthood.

It's no longer a secret that you came to St. Petersburg last summer. All agreements with Zenit were reached back in 2011, right?

Indeed, I was in St. Petersburg last year and even saw the match with Porto. Negotiations about the contract were held, but I would not like to talk about this topic. For me, the most important thing is how I feel on the field and how I play.

What is your overall impression of Russian football?

– It’s a difficult question. Obviously, there are many good teams in Russia. Even Terek can easily win against Dynamo. Whatever the opponent, no one can be absolutely sure that they will win the next match. Zenit now has an excellent squad, we are playing great, which is confirmed by our results. But we can’t be sure in advance that we will become champions. You just need to work as hard as possible.

(listener question): Do you continue to communicate with Marko Bakic? Why didn't he wait for offers from top championships?

– I’ve known Bakich for about ten years. He is a talented player and a very good person. Now he plays in Budva, for Mogren. I haven’t talked to him about this, but I hope that he will find a club where he can prove himself and where he will have as much fun as I did at Zenit.

Where did this fantastically talented crop of Montenegrin football players come from? You, Bakic, Mirko Vucinic, Stevan Jovetic...

– There is a lot of talent in Montenegro and in the former Yugoslavia in general. Perhaps due to the fact that more good fields have appeared in Montenegro, coaches are constantly improving their skills and going to seminars in Europe.

That is for you play-offs with England is just the beginning of a long journey?

- Certainly!

Luka, tell me: two bars in one match - has this happened to you before?

No, never.

How did you feel at each of these moments?

“When I hit the post for the first time, I just couldn’t believe it wasn’t a goal.” Well, when this happened the second time... I don’t know. If I had a little less endurance, I probably would have simply died right on the field.

It’s no secret that you live in St. Petersburg with your parents, and you also came to the radio with your father. Dad was probably more upset after two barbells than you. Have you discussed this with him?

– Yes, he told me what he felt at those moments! My parents are always with me, they help me in everything. Thanks to them, it’s easy and comfortable for me in St. Petersburg. I will never be able to sufficiently express the gratitude I feel for my parents.

Is your older brother, who stayed in Montenegro, also a footballer?

- Yes. He played for Partizan Belgrade for one season, after which he received the same injury as Danny. He is now recovering and hopefully will return to the field again.

Hello to your brother. The listener is interested: it seemed that in the second half against Anzhi you got a little hooked. Was it a team-wide feeling, or did you start to feel tired?

“We started the second half with the score 1:0 in our favor, and for some reason we immediately gave the ball to the opponents and gave them the opportunity to play. They had several

moments, but all from standard positions. Of course, a big part of the problem is that we have six players injured. But in any case, we played well and should have won.

How do you like Arseny Logashov? It is believed that in the future he will replace Alexander Anyukov in the national team.

- Yes, he is definitely a good player. Perhaps I agree with what they say about him in Russia.

Your former club is currently building new stadium on the roof of a hotel for 15 thousand spectators. Isn’t this too presumptuous, considering that 16 thousand live in Budva?

– I don’t know anything about this project. Of course, in Montenegro there are such large stadiums hardly needed, five thousand would be enough.

Luca, do you follow fashion? Do you know what's trending?

– Well, maybe I can roughly imagine, but my mother is more careful about what she dresses me in.

What kind of music do you like?

– Yugoslav hip-hop. This is probably the closest thing to Eminem's style.

(listener question): Ex-Zenit forward Predrag Randjelovic played in Montenegro for many years. Do you know this football player?

– Yes, we played together for two years at Mogren. He told me a lot about Zenit and what to expect here. He helped me a lot.

I wonder what he told you? It’s no secret that St. Petersburg fans don’t remember Randjelovic from the best side.

– I didn’t know that. He said that training here is much more aggressive than in Montenegro. At Zenit everyone gives one hundred percent. He said that it would be difficult for me, since I was a young player who came from a small club, small town, a small country in such big club. In any case, I feel comfortable here now.

(listener question): Do you communicate with the Montenegrin basketball player of BC Spartak Vladimir Dragicevic?

– He is from Budva, just like me. We met there several times, but have not seen each other in Russia yet.

How do you feel about winter sports? Do you want to go to a hockey game?

– I’ve never been to hockey, but I see that it is a very popular sport in Russia. I'll definitely go to a few games.

How big of a challenge is the match with Rubin for you? Do you understand that he is also one of the most unpleasant opponents?

– They beat us in the Super Cup match. It will really be difficult with them. But we are Zenit, and we must win every meeting. "Ruby" - good team, they are physically strong, they have well-established team interactions. It will be difficult, but I am confident that we can win.

How did our difficult team receive you? Who do you communicate with?

“All our players on the field are simply great. I can learn a lot from them and I am very glad that I have this opportunity. Of course, most of all I communicate with Aleksandar Lukovich, he helps me in many ways. In addition, I communicate with Criscito, Bruno Alves, Lumb, Hubochan and Lombaerts.

Previously, Lukovich drove you to the base. Now he will probably miss a lot due to injury. Who will take you to training?

- Probably a taxi driver.

(listener question): Montenegrin football players Dejan Savicevic as part of Milan and Predrag Mijatovic in the colors of Real Madrid once won the Champions League. Have you seen them play on DVD?

- Yes, sure. They are great players who played for big clubs. I know Dejan Savicevic personally. It's great that he is remembered.

Who will you dedicate your first goal for Zenit to?

Luka Djordjevic, career of the now famous young football player started in Mogren, for this sports football club he performed from 2001 to 2012.

This club is known for winning the Montenegrin championship in the 2010/2011 season, and the footballer played two matches then.

The following season, the footballer played 24 games and scored 10 goals. In the same year he played in qualifying match Champions League, where his team’s opponent was the Bulgarian Litex.

Luka Djordjevic - transfer to Zenit

The transition to the Zenit football club of St. Petersburg took place in 2012. During this period, Luciano Spalletti, coach of the St. Petersburg FC, spoke well of the athlete.

According to Spalletti, Luca has certain qualities, but he is still too young, so his game needs to be watched. He is a wide attacking player, excellent at opening into free zones and running well. The Italian specialist believes that a wonderful future awaits the young football player.

On July 11, 2012, Djordjevic made his debut for Zenit. The match against “Rus” was a friendly, in this meeting the St. Petersburg team scored as many as 6 unanswered goals. Luka Djordjevic scored from a pass from Alexander Bukharov last goal. On July 16, he received his final number 77.

On August 11 of the same year, the footballer made his debut in a match with the capital's Spartak. Luka replaced Kanunnikov, then the St. Petersburg team was already leading with a score of 4:0, and the total score of the match was 5:0. The next match with Anzhi Makhachkala, which took place in Makhachkala, Djordjevic started in the starting lineup. According to fans, he became best player in this match.
