HISTORY OF THE TOUR
Coca-Cola first held the FIFA World Cup Cup Tour in 2006 ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Germany. Then the official Cup visited 31 cities in 28 countries. The official Cup tour began in the capital of Ghana - Accra - and ended in the Eternal City - Rome. The lucky cities that managed to host the Cup also included Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Port of Spain, Los Angeles, Tokyo and many others.
The next Tour of the official Cup lasted from September 2009 to May 2010. The world's most famous football trophy visited 84 countries and traveled almost 140 thousand kilometers. His route included countries on all continents, from Latin America to New Zealand, including Kazakhstan, Venezuela and many others.
And before the last World Cup to date in Brazil, in 2014, an even larger tour took place. The official Cup was seen by residents of 90 countries. The official Cup tour began on September 12, 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, near the famous statue of Christ, and ended there 221 days later. THE LONGEST NATIONAL TOUR IN HISTORY
Especially for Russia, Coca-Cola, together with FIFA, created the longest World Cup Tour in the host country of the world championship in the entire history of this project. The journey, which will last a total of 123 days (and this is only in Russia), is divided into three stages. The first, which is running these days, covers 16 Russian cities, from Krasnoyarsk to Sochi. In January 2018, the official Cup will go on a world tour and visit more than 50 countries on 6 continents. The second part of the Russian journey will begin in May next year in Vladivostok, and will again end in the Russian capital, Moscow, on the eve of the World Cup. The official Cup will visit nine more Russian cities, most of which will host matches of the upcoming World Cup.
FOOTBALL FOR EVERYONE
One of the main goals of the Official Cup Tour is to support the development of youth football in Russia and inspire aspiring players to new achievements. With the help of the journey of the legendary trophy, the Coca-Cola system in Russia, together with FIFA, the Russia 2018 Organizing Committee and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, draw attention to the idea of accessibility of sports, in particular football, for everyone, regardless of gender, physical and intellectual capabilities. During the first leg of the FIFA World Cup Cup Tour, Coca-Cola also brought a trophy to the opening of an inclusive play park with football field in Saransk.

The Krasnodar region is preparing to host the main football trophy on the planet – the FIFA World Cup. The sculpture, made of pure gold, weighing more than six kilograms, will be exhibited in Krasnodar and Sochi.
In anticipation of the FIFA World Cup in Russia, the Cup travels around the country and the world. From September to December, the trophy will visit 15 Russian cities. From January to May, the Cup will travel to more than 50 countries around the world.
