The UEFA Champions League is rightfully considered one of the most interesting and important tournaments in European football. 76 people take part in the competition football teams from 52 countries. In recent years, Spanish clubs have dominated European competition. This once again confirms the fact that La Liga is one of the strongest championships in the world. Two Madrid football giants play there: Real and Atlético. In the 2013-2014 season, these teams fought in the final for the Champions League Cup, and in the 2015-2016 season, they met again in the final of the most prestigious club tournament in Europe. Let's remember that exciting match that took place on May 28 at the San Siro stadium in Milan (Italy).
Real Madrid - winner of the Champions League 2015-2016
In 2014, Real Madrid and Atlético reached the Champions League final. Then in the Madrid derby the Galacticos players turned out to be the strongest. That cup became the 10th anniversary for Real. The head coach of the “mattress players” was very upset by the defeat in the final, but did not give up, and a year later he again went through the hardest tournament path to finally win the UEFA Champions League Cup. In turn, Florentino Perez's club was determined to win the 11th title in its history, and was not going to give up so easily.
In order to get to the final match in Milan, both clubs overcame a difficult path. If getting out of the groups was not so problematic, the playoff stage took a lot of energy.

Before the start of the meeting, Real Madrid were considered the favorites, despite the fact that the team had an inexperienced coach, Zinedine Zidane, at the helm. There was a lot of discussion about this. Some said that Zidane was not yet mature enough to win trophies of this magnitude, others believed in the “royal” club, believing that such a star team should defeat any opponent, regardless of who the team’s head coach is. In turn, Atlético coach Diego Semeone took his team onto the field with the goal of taking revenge on Los Blancos for their defeat in the final of the same tournament in the 2013-2014 season. The Argentine coach believed in his guys. They knocked out Barcelona and Bayern, so Real Madrid didn't seem like such a formidable force.
So, let's remember that very final match of the UEFA Champions League 2016/17 in Milan.
Both coaches brought their best players to the game. In the first minutes, the teams did not actively attack, starting the match with reconnaissance. Then, Real Madrid players took the initiative into their own hands and began to create dangerous moments near Jan Oblak's goal.
The pressure gave results. In the 15th minute, after a cross from Gareth Bale, central defender Sergio Ramos makes the score 1:0 in favor of the Galacticos. After this goal, Zidane's men continued to besiege the Indians' penalty area, trying to score a second goal.

The victim himself came to take the penalty. Antoine took a run and hit hard. Costa Rican Navas jumped into the corner, but the ball did not fly there, but hit the crossbar, almost bending it.
