The fifth time takes place in St. Petersburg "1945 Fashion Show", it has become a traditional city event. The idea of the project belongs to Megan Virtanen, fashion historian and teacher SPbSU. Every year, the retro show attracts more and more participants and spectators: if only twenty-two girls took part in the first show, then in 2015 there were already fifty-three participants in the post-war fashion show. Any girl can become a model, you just need to get into character - not only the costume, but also the hairstyle, makeup, accessories, shoes. It's time to take grandma's outfits out of the chests. This year, models will walk along the alleys of the Summer Garden, dried out after a long winter, to the sounds of an accordion, just like in the forties.

Famous St. Petersburg artist Lera Matveeva-Nibiru and the young participants together will create a new universe on a large sheet of paper and try to equip it, populate it - in a word, invent a new life.
This will, of course, be most interesting for children from four to ten years old, but there are no strict age restrictions in either direction.
To build the universe without looking back, come in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Lera Matveeva-Nibiru deals with graphics, objects, installations. The main themes of her work are childhood dreams, visions, transitions from one state to another; the pseudonym Nibiru means a mythical planet. The artist has twelve personal exhibitions in Russia and abroad, her works are in museum collections and private collections in Russia and France.

“Rio Rita” – the joy of Victory”, art project

Legendary song "Rio Rita" spanish composer Enrique Santeuhini wrote for the Berlin club "Rio Rita" in 1937. In the USSR, this song was primarily associated with rare wartime parties. Its melody became the leitmotif of Pyotr Todorovsky’s film “War Romance” and gave the name to a new art project, the purpose of which was to try to create that unforgettable festive atmosphere that reigned in Leningrad after the victory.
People of all ages, professions and views will be united, as before, by music. For several hours, Ekateringofsky Park will turn into a grandiose dance floor; military brass bands of the city will play fiery dance tunes of the 1940s on improvised platforms. An authentic 1945 dress code is encouraged. Dresses, hats, red lipstick, perfume - at least a few touches to the portrait of that time, and - it's time to dance!

Jim Carrey's Movie Night

Three outstanding acting works of the famous American comedian: "The Truman Show", "Bruce Almighty" And "Always say yes". Films are shown on huge panoramic screens located around the perimeter of the cinema hall. This technology gives the viewer the opportunity to see all the details of the frame, no matter where he turns.

"Sleeping Beauty", ballet

A classic of Russian ballet staged by the State Children's Ballet Theater of St. Petersburg, which takes into account the peculiarities of children's perception. Music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the humanistic idea of the fairy tale remains unchanged.

“Dancers After Midnight”, photo exhibition

The exhibition includes a series of photographs by an American photographer Jordan Matter taken on the night streets New York, Chicago, Amsterdam, London, Paris. Fashion models are ballet dancers who have taken off their clothes and demonstrated the plasticity of their bodies. The police tried to stop the performers about forty times, but the ballet dancers managed to practice all the planned poses, and the result was an impressive spectacle. Matter's characters are naked not only externally, but also internally: they demonstrate pure emotions, passion, ecstasy, and the unshakability of an idea.
