World Ski Championships schedule. Traditional start of the season

Starts on the last weekend of November World Cup ski racing 2016-2017, schedule which includes 28 individual races for men and women, as well as four team races. Note that the Ski World Cup starts on November 26, 2016 in the Finnish town of Ruka, and ends on March 19, 2017 in Tyumen.

Ski racing: World Cup stages 2016-2017

The first stage of the 2016-2017 Cross-Country World Cup will be held in Ruka, Finland, on November 26-27. On November 26, men's and women's sprints in the classic style will take place, and on the 27th there will be 15 km (men) and 10 km “classic” races.

The second stage will take place in a week in Lillehammer, Norway - this is the so-called Nordic Opening Overall. December 2 – men's and women's sprint racing classic style, on December 3 – men’s “ten” and women’s “five” (both in free style), and on December 4, the men’s (15 km) and women’s (10 km) pursuit races in the “classic” are scheduled.

Third the stage will pass in Davos, Switzerland. On December 10, men will run 30 kilometers in free style, and women will run 15 kilometers in the same style. On December 11, again in free style, men's and women's sprints will be held.

The fourth stage will take place in the French La Clusage. This short stage will take place in one day: on December 17, men will run a 30-kilometer skiathlon, and women will run a 15-kilometer skiathlon.

Stage number five – festive, New Year’s – will take place in Val Musteir, Switzerland. Men's and women's freestyle sprints are scheduled for December 31, and “classic” mass starts (10 km for men and 5 km for women) will be held on January 1.

According to the schedule, the 2016-2017 Cross-Country World Cup will continue with the sixth stage in Obersdorf, Germany. Its program is as follows: on January 3 - men's (20 km) and women's (10 km) skiathlons, and on January 4 - freestyle pursuit races (15 km for men and 10 km for women).

The seventh stage will take place in Italy. On January 6, in Dobbiacco, men will run 10 km in free style, and women – 5 km. The stage will continue in another Italian town, Val di Fiemme. January 7 – classic mass starts (15 km for men and 10 km for women), and January 8 – 9 km races with freestyle mountain climbing. Note that stages 5-7 are included in the so-called “Tour de ski”.

For the eighth stage, skiers will return to Dobbiacco: on January 14, men's and women's freestyle sprints will be held there.

The ninth stage in Ulrikhavn, Sweden, will also be a short one-day event: on November 21, men will run 15 km, and women – 10 km (both will be “classics”).

The tenth stage will also take place in Sweden – in Falun. On January 28, men and women will compete in the free style sprint, and on January 29, “free” mass starts will take place (men’s – 30 km, women’s – 15 km).

The eleventh stage will be hosted by the capital of the next Olympics - South Korean Pyongchang. Classic sprints are scheduled for February 3, and skiathlons (30 km for men and 15 km for women) for February 4.

From February 22 to March 5, ski races will take place as part of the World Ski Championships, followed by the twelfth stage of the World Cup in Norway. On March 8, “classic” sprints will be held in Drammen, and on March 11 in Oslo, “classic” marathons with a mass start (50 km for men and 30 km for women).

The final stage of the World Cup will take place on March 16-19 in Tyumen, Russia. On March 16, short freestyle races will be held (5-kilometer men's and 3-kilometer women's). On March 17, the “classic” mass starts will take place (15 km for men and 10 km for women). Finally, on March 19, the 2016-2017 World Cup program will be completed by freestyle pursuit races (distances are the same as the mass starts).

Let us add that within team competitions 4 stages are planned. The first is on December 18 in La Clusage: relay races will take place here (4 x 7.5 km men's and 4 x 5 km women's). The races of the second team stage will take place on January 15 in Dobbiacco - here spectators will see team sprints. The third stage - a relay, in the same format as the first - will be held on January 22 in Ulrikhavn. Everything will end with team sprints on February 5 in Pyeongchang.

Let's summarize the 2015-2016 cross-country skiing World Cup season.

The World Cup winners were

Martin Jonsrud Sundby (3rd time in a row) and Teresa Juhaug (2nd time)

Won the World Cup in sprint

Federico Pellegrino, Italy

(the first non-Scandinavian skier in history to achieve such success!)

and Maiken Caspersen Falla (1st Cup)

Distance World Cup:

Martin Jonsrud Sundby and Teresa Juhaug

U23 World Cup (youth):

Francesco de Fabiani (Italy)

Stina Nilsson (Sweden)

As we see, the names Russian skiers No. Alexander Legkov won the distance skiing World Cup in the 2012-2013 season, training in the Burgemeister-Knaute group. The next year Legkov became Olympic champion Sochi 2014 and it seemed like this was just the beginning.

Season KM-2015-2016 for Russian skiers.

Best skier Sergey Ustyugov (Burgemeister-Knaute group):

4th place in the overall World Cup standings. 3rd place at the Tour de Ski 2016, 2nd place at the Tour de Canada 2016, victory at the ECM in Falun (mass start 15 km, skate), a lot of prizes at stages of stage races. Great season for Sergei, great job by Reto and Isabelle.

Maxim Vylegzhanin (Oleg Perevozchikov’s group):

victory at the EKM in Lahti (10 km classic time trial), 3rd place at the 50 km classic in Holmenkollen. Perevozchikov once again proved that he knows how to lead his players to the main starts of the season.

Nikita Kryukov (Kaminsky-Devetyarov group):

victory at the EKM in Stockholm (classic sprint). A very unsuccessful season for Kryukov and the entire Kaminsky group, but this victory gave us a glimmer of hope for the next seasons.

Alexander Bessmertnykh (Perevozchikov group):

2nd place at the EKM in Toblach - the first podium for the Russian team of the season (classical time trial 15 km), 2nd place at the EKM in Lahti after Vylegzhanin. Bessmertnykh confirms his reputation as a very strong classicist.

Evgeny Belov (Burgemeister-Knaute):

2nd place at the 2016 Tour de Canada stage (15km classic time trial). Also a glimmer of hope for the TDS-2015 winner.

Our three ski stars were very upset.

After leaving the Burgemeister-Knaute group for the 2nd season, Alexander Legkov has not been able to even come close to winning prizes at the ECM, not to mention fighting for prizes at stage races and for victories at individual races. But it was Legkov who was the first of our skiers to become a winner of the Tour de Ski and win it,

and it is he who has the most victories and prizes at the World Cup. So far, the positive result of creating Legkov’s personal group with coach Markus Kramer has been the good progress of Sergei Turyshev - 5th place at 50 km in Holmenkolln and 4 places in the top 10 at ECM.

Also, after the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Ilya Chernousov left the Burgemeister-Knaute group, although it was with them that Chernousov conquered bronze medals world and Olympic champion.

Since then, Ilya has been very far from not only winning prizes, but even from the top 10 on the EKM. Chernousov's best achievement this season is 14th place at the EKM in Davos (30 km skate).

Alexey Petukhov was the main hope for the proud title of “the first non-Scandinavian to win the sprint World Cup.”

But in his best seasons, Petukhov was not persistent enough, and in the season of triumph, Pellegrino completely unexpectedly failed. But Pellegrino proved that even being a specialist in speed skating, like Petukhov, you can win the World Cup, and even be able to scratch out the classic final.

The Russian women's team (coach Danila Akimov) had the only success: 3rd place in the classic sprint in Drammen by Natalia Matveeva.

We really look forward to returning to our better shape our stars - Legkov, Kryukov, Petukhov and Chernousov already in the next season, the season of the World Ski Championships.

But Ustyugov, Vylegzhanin, Bessmertnykh, Belov should not rest on their laurels either - the next season will be much more difficult. The Swedes will traditionally improve greatly, the Italians will gain strength, the Finns will be stronger.

A good end to the season at the Russian Championships, rest and a fruitful summer 2016 to all our skiers!

Write a review about the article "World Cup Cross Country Skiing 2016/2017"

An excerpt characterizing the 2016/2017 Ski World Cup

It was the family of the prophet Joshua who moved one and a half thousand years ago to Provence (which in those days was called Transalpine Gaul), to the Greek city of Massalia (present-day Marseille), since Massalia at that time was the “gateway” between Europe and Asia, and it was the easiest way for all those “persecuted” in order to avoid persecution and troubles.
The real Magdalene moved to Languedoc a thousand years after the birth of the Jewish Mary, and she was going Home, and did not run away from the Jews to other Jews, as the Jewish Mary did, never ex-girlfriend the bright and pure Star that was the real Magdalene. Mary the Jewess was a kind but narrow-minded woman who was married off very early. And she was never called Magdalene... This name was “hanged” on her, wanting to unite these two incompatible women into one. And in order to prove such an absurd legend, they came up with a false story about the city of Magdala, which did not yet exist in Galilee during the life of the Jewish Mary... This whole outrageous “story” of the two Jesuses was deliberately mixed up and confused so that it would be too difficult for an ordinary person to find out to the truth. And only those who truly knew how to think saw what a complete lie Christianity was telling - the most cruel and bloodthirsty of all religions. But, as I told you earlier, most people do not like to THINK for themselves. Therefore, they accepted and accept on faith everything that the Roman Church teaches. It was convenient this way, and it has always been this way. The person was not ready to accept the real TEACHING of Radomir and Magdalene, which required work and independent thinking. But people always liked and approved of what was extremely simple - what told them what to believe in, what could be accepted, and what should be denied.

For a minute I felt very scared - the words of the North were too reminiscent of the sayings of Caraffa! .. But in my “rebellious” soul I did not want to agree that the bloodthirsty killer - the Pope - could be at least truly right about something...
“This slavish “faith” was needed by the same Thinking Dark Ones in order to strengthen their dominance in our fragile, still nascent world... so as to never allow it to be born again... - the North continued calmly. – It was precisely in order to more successfully enslave our Earth that the Thinking Dark Ones found this small, but very flexible and vain Jewish people, understandable to them alone. Due to their “flexibility” and mobility, these people easily succumbed to foreign influence and became a dangerous tool in the hands of the Thinking Dark Ones, who found the prophet Joshua, who once lived there, and cunningly “intertwined” the story of his life with the life story of Radomir, destroying the real ones. biographies and planting fake ones, so that naive human minds would believe in such a “story.” But even the same Jewish Joshua also had nothing to do with the religion called Christianity... It was created by order of Emperor Constantine, who needed new religion, to throw a new “bone” to the people leaving control. And the people, without even thinking, swallowed it with pleasure... This is still our Earth, Isidora. And it won’t be long before someone manages to change it. It won't be long before people want to THINK, unfortunately...
– They may not be ready yet, Sever... But you see, people open up to “new things” very easily! So doesn’t this show precisely that humanity (in its own way) is SEEKING a way to the present, that people are striving for the TRUTH, which there is simply no one to show them?..
– You can show the most valuable Book of Knowledge in the world a thousand times, but it will do nothing if a person does not know how to read. Isn't it true, Isidora?..
“But you TEACH your students!..” I exclaimed with anguish. “They didn’t know everything right away either, before they came to you!” So teach humanity!!! It's worth it not to disappear!..
– Yes, Isidora, we teach our students. But the gifted ones who come to us know the main thing - they know how to THINK... And the rest are still just “followers”. And we have neither time nor desire for them until their time comes, and they turn out to be worthy of one of us teaching them.
Sever was absolutely sure that he was right, and I knew that no arguments could convince him. Therefore, I decided not to insist any longer...
– Tell me, Sever, what of the life of Jesus is real? Can you tell me how he lived? And how could it happen that with such a powerful and faithful support he still lost?.. What happened to his children and Magdalene? How long after his death did she manage to live?
He smiled his wonderful smile...
– You reminded me now of young Magdalene... She was the most curious of all and endlessly asked questions to which even our wise men did not always find answers!..
The North again “went away” into its sad memory, again meeting there with those for whom it still so deeply and sincerely missed.
– She was truly an amazing woman, Isidora! Never giving up and not feeling sorry for herself, just like you... She was ready at any moment to give herself up for those she loved. For those whom I considered more worthy. And simply - for LIFE... Fate did not spare her, bringing down the weight of irreparable losses on her fragile shoulders, but until her last moment she fought fiercely for her friends, for her children, and for everyone who remained to live on earth after death Radomir... People called her the Apostle of all Apostles. And she truly was him... Only not in the sense in which the inherently alien Jewish language shows her in her “sacred writings”. Magdalene was the strongest Sorceress... Golden Mary, as people who met her at least once called her. She carried with her the pure light of Love and Knowledge, and was completely saturated with it, giving everything without a trace and not sparing herself. Her friends loved her very much and, without hesitation, were ready to give their lives for her!.. For her and for the teaching that she continued to carry after the death of her beloved husband, Jesus Radomir.
– Forgive my meager knowledge, Sever, but why do you always call Christ Radomir?..
– It’s very simple, Isidora, his father and mother once named him Radomir, and it was his real, Family name, which truly reflected his true essence. This name had a double meaning - the Joy of the world (Rado - peace) and the Bringer of the Light of Knowledge to the world, the Light of Ra (Ra - do - peace). And the Thinking Dark Ones called him Jesus Christ when they completely changed the story of his life. And as you can see, it has firmly “taken root” to him for centuries. The Jews always had many Jesuses. This is the most common and very common Jewish name. Although, funny as it may be, it came to them from Greece... Well, Christ (Christos) is not a name at all, and in Greek it means “messiah” or “enlightened one”... The only question is, if in The Bible says that Christ is a Christian, then how can we explain these pagan Greek names that the Thinking Dark Ones themselves gave him?.. Isn’t it interesting? And this is only the smallest of those many mistakes, Isidora, which a person does not want (or cannot!..) see.
- But how can he see them if he blindly believes in what is presented to him?.. We must show this to people! They must know all this, North! – I couldn’t stand it again.
“We don’t owe people anything, Isidora...” Sever answered sharply. “They are quite happy with what they believe in.” And they don't want to change anything. Do you want me to continue?
He again tightly fenced himself off from me with a wall of “iron” confidence in his rightness, and I had no choice but to nod in response, not hiding the tears of disappointment that appeared... It was pointless to even try to prove anything - he lived in his own “ the right" world, without being distracted by minor "earthly problems"...

- After cruel death Radomira Magdalena decided to return to where her real Home was, where once upon a time she was born. Probably, we all have a craving for our “roots”, especially when for one reason or another it becomes bad... Here she is, killed by her deep grief, wounded and lonely, she finally decided to return HOME... This place was located in the mysterious Occitania (today's France, Languedoc) and it was called the Valley of the Magicians (or also the Valley of the Gods), famous for its harsh, mystical majesty and beauty. And there was no person who, having once been there, would not love the Valley of the Magicians for the rest of his life...
“I’m sorry, Sever, for interrupting you, but the name Magdalene... didn’t it come from the Valley of the Magicians?..,” I exclaimed, unable to resist the discovery that shocked me.
– You’re absolutely right, Isidora. – North smiled. - You see - you think!.. The real Magdalene was born about five hundred years ago in the Occitan Valley of the Magicians, and therefore they called her Mary - the Magician of the Valley (Mage-Valley).
– What kind of valley is this – the Valley of the Magicians, the North?.. And why have I never heard of such a thing? My father never mentioned such a name, and none of my teachers spoke about it?
– Oh, this is a very ancient and very powerful place, Isidora! The land there once gave extraordinary power... It was called the “Land of the Sun”, or “Pure Land”. It was created man-made, many thousands of years ago... And two of those whom people called Gods once lived there. They protected this Pure Land from “black forces”, since it contained the Gates of Interworldliness, which no longer exist today. But once upon a time, a long time ago, this was the place where otherworldly people and otherworldly news came. It was one of the seven “bridges” of the Earth... Destroyed, unfortunately, by a stupid mistake of Man. Later, many centuries later, gifted children began to be born in this valley. And for them, strong but stupid, we created a new “meteora” there... Which we called Raveda (Ra-ved). It was like the younger sister of our Meteora, in which they also taught Knowledge, only much simpler than we taught it, since Raveda was open, without exception, to all gifted ones. The Secret Knowledge was not given there, but only what could help them live with their burden, what could teach them to know and control their amazing Gift. Gradually, various wonderfully gifted people from the farthest ends of the Earth began to flock to Raveda, eager to learn. And because Raveda was open to everyone, sometimes “gray” gifted people also came there, who were also taught Knowledge, hoping that one fine day their lost Light Soul would definitely return to them.
So over time they called this Valley - the Valley of the Magicians, as if warning the uninitiated about the opportunity to meet unexpected and amazing miracles there... born from the thoughts and hearts of the gifted... With Magdalene and Witch Mary, six Knights of the Temple came there, who, with the help of those who lived friends there, settled in their unusual castle-fortresses, standing on living “points of power”, which gave those living in them natural power and protection.

Magdalena withdrew for a while with her young daughter into the caves, wanting to be away from any fuss, seeking peace with all her aching soul...

Mourning Magdalene in the caves...

“Show it to me, North!” I asked, unable to bear it. - Show me Magdalene, please...
To my greatest surprise, instead of harsh stone caves, I saw a gentle, blue sea, on the sandy shore of which a woman stood. I immediately recognized her - it was Mary Magdalene... Radomir's only love, his wife, the mother of his wonderful children... and his widow.

At the FIS Council, which was held in Cancun, Mexico from June 6 to 11, the cross-country skiing World Cup calendar for the 2016/2017 season was approved. The main novelty of the calendar was the holding of the World Cup Final in Tyumen. Thus, for the first time, a multi-day stage will be held in Russia, the four races of which will be combined into a common classification.

Traditional start of the season

Traditionally, the strongest ski racers will begin to fight for Crystal Globes on the last weekend of November (26-27) in Finnish Ruka. However, a three-day mini-tour with overall standings three competition days will take place a week later in Lillehammer, Norway. His program includes the classic sprint, freestyle races with time trials and classic pursuit according to the Gundersen system. After two weekends in Scandinavia, the World Cup will move to Central Europe, and more precisely to Davos, Switzerland. The stage in La Clusaz, France, which was canceled in December 2014 due to lack of snow, will return to the pre-Christmas calendar, the program of which includes a skiathlon and a relay race.

Tour de Ski reaches its second decade

After this, the stage race will feature traditional Italian stages on January 6 in Toblach and January 7-8 in Val di Fiemme. There will be a freestyle race with a time trial, a classic mass start and a climb up the Alpe Cermis mountain.

New and old places

After the Tour de Ski, according to tradition, it will be time for the sprinters. This time the sprint stage will take place in Toblach, Italy, where the ski track has not yet had time to cool down after the Tour battles. Then, for the first time in history, the Cup stage peace will pass in Ulricehamn, Sweden. In a place near Gothenburg on January 21-22, a classic style race with a time trial and a relay will be held. The Swedish block will continue with competitions in Falun on the last weekend of January. Well, from February 3 to 5, the pre-Olympic stage will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea, the program of which will include the classic sprint, skiathlon and freestyle team sprint.

The last test of strength before the World Championships in Lahti will be the World Cup stage in Otepää, Estonia on February 18-19. There will be a skate sprint on the first day and a traditional classic time trial on the second.

From February 21 to March 5, the main arena for the struggle of the strongest ski racers will be Finnish Lahti, which will host main event winter season- World Championship. After the World Championship, the stages in Drammen and Holmenkollen will take place almost without a pause. Races there are scheduled for March 8, 11 and 12.
