The elder sister of Ekaterina Strizhenova is no less famous than the TV presenter. Her name is Victoria Andriyanova, and she is a fashion designer. The girls' father died when Victoria was twelve and Katya was six. The mother raised the girls. She tried to instill in them good taste and sewed beautiful dresses at night. Now Strizhenova dresses for her famous sister and considers her one of the most talented Russian designers.

Biography
On June 30, 1995, the future Olympic champion was born in the Russian capital. Maria's father, Vladimir, was a famous musician and producer, one of the guitarists of the group "Tender May". The car's mother, Oksana, went in for sports. The famous athlete has an older sister Anna, now known as singer Nyusha. Also in this family there is a younger brother Ivan. Despite the fact that the sisters are related only by their father and have completely different occupations, they are very close to each other. Ivan, like Maria, is interested in sports.
The Russian State University, which trains Olympic champions, does an excellent job. Maria Shurochkina is also his student. Synchronized swimming is one of the areas on which great hopes are currently placed in our sport. Now she is training under the guidance of E.A. Gryzunova and E.N. Polyanskaya.
First training
Maria's acquaintance with sports began with acrobatics. Activities in this area greatly helped her in her future sports career. After acrobatics, Maria Shurochkina chose synchronized swimming, or rather, one day her mother took her to the pool under the pretext of amateur swimming. In fact, this was Masha’s first training session, which began unexpectedly for her.
At first there was no desire to engage in synchronized swimming, and the future famous athlete even wanted to quit training. But her parents insisted on continuing them, and over time, synchronized swimming captivated the girl so much that training began to take up all her free time. This is how the hobby grew into a professional occupation. The first coaches, thanks to whom the athlete’s talent was revealed, were Nikonova R.B. and Goncharova O.A.
Sports career
To date, Maria Shurochkina is the winner of the 2013 World Universiade (group performance in combination), twice European champion - in 2014 in a group, and in 2016 as part of a team, as well as a six-time world champion in group performances. But the main sporting achievement today is the Olympic gold, deservedly received at the 2016 Rio Olympics for the group’s performance.
One of the most prominent places during performances is occupied by Maria Shurochkina. Synchronized swimming, the photos of which are so spectacular, is a very spectacular and beautiful sport. This is achieved thanks to the support and ejections of one of the girls from the water high up while simultaneously performing the most complex elements. This is exactly the position Masha takes during the performance.
The athlete managed to achieve success thanks to training. Persistence, strength and self-confidence are the qualities that Maria Shurochkina possesses. Synchronized swimming is a very difficult sport, not only physically, but also psychologically, and in order to succeed in it, you must have amazing willpower. As mentioned above, synchronized swimming takes up all the athlete’s free time. Maria Shurochkina, for whom the Olympics and preparation for it have been the main goal in life for the past fifteen years, has reached the heights of the world Olympus. Training took so much time that there was simply no energy or time left for personal life.
Maria loves to spend her holidays with her sister Nyusha, but it is difficult for them to choose the time for this. One has a busy touring schedule, the other spends all her time training. When they do manage to meet, the sisters try to spend their time together as productively as possible - communicating, relaxing, or sharing experiences.
Now that the first successful Olympics in Maria’s life is behind her, she calls her dream the desire to simply be happy. And, watching the life of an athlete, her achievements and perseverance, you believe that she will succeed.

Anna and Masha are very close to each other. On Masha’s personal page on one of the popular Russian social networks it is indicated that Nyusha is her sister, and it is also reported that Masha loves her very much. Photos are regularly updated there in which you can see the two sisters together. A little over a year ago Nyusha's sister I even starred in my older sister’s video clip. According to the director of the video, this gave the video dynamism, and the appearance of a young, titled athlete in it acted as a definite incentive for the younger generation to actively engage in sports.
Nyusha also shared with reporters that she is extremely proud of her younger sister, who at the age of fifteen managed to achieve a lot in sports.
By the way, Nyusha herself is no stranger to sports, she did boxing as a child, plays beach volleyball, and now, due to lack of free time, she only does fitness.
Although the girls have the same father, they are very different in appearance, which does not interfere with their warm relationship.
