The second half was expected to be just as exciting, but everything happened in an offensively everyday manner. Real Madrid players began to increase pressure from the very beginning of the half, and from the 61st to 63rd minutes they actually decided the outcome of the match.
First, Casemiro watched for the rebound and hit Buffon's goal from 25 meters with the help of a rebound from Khedira. You can’t help but remember Allegri’s words before the match, when he called the Brazilian the opponent’s key player. At some point, Juve managed to stretch the front of the attack: by connecting Alex Sandro on the left flank and shifting Mandzukic to the position of second center forward. And so the Juventus goal was born, which became a matter of five touches by four players. “Real”, during the Juve attack, realized where it was thin and torn. If Alex Sandro hadn’t made a touch into the penalty area, if he had spent even a second processing it, Isco would have managed to cover him. Juve won at pace, otherwise there would have been no masterpiece.
When Juventus took possession of the ball and organized a wide positional attack, forced the opponent to break the rules, earned a free kick or a corner, Real became uncomfortable. Marcelo's eyes didn't run wild - he calmly covered Alves, without waiting for connections from the Juve full-back. The duo of Alves and Cuadrado could have worked better from the first minutes.
